Comfortable stay

We stayed here overnight passing through town. We found our room to be clean and comfortable. Lobby even gave us a courtesy call after being in our room for 20 minutes asking if everything was to our liking...a nice gesture! I would return in the future.

This was my third time staying at Douglas Inn. It was just as good as the first two stays. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and had a good variety of items including yogurt, apples, waffles, etc. I would definitely stay again.

Good for a one night stay

Called ahead for a king room for two and one small dog. We were told we would have a second floor room but elevators are available. Upon arrival late afternoon, we were given a first floor room 111. The hotel is right next to Cracker Barrel, easy to walk and that is a plus. The room was relatively clean and had a recliner, again a plus. The bed was very high and the linens were ill fitting as the corners pulled off almost immediately. It just makes sleeping on wrinkles uncomfortable. The breakfast was ok, the coffee was very good. My one suggestion is to NEVER stay in this room if you want to sleep. The side door to the lobby is next door and we could hear thump thump all night long when the door closed..would we stay here again? Maybe but NOT in room 111...

We checked in and left an hour later

This hotel seems like a good deal because of the price and location, but looks are deceiving. The first rooms they have to us initially looked clean but upon further inspection we discovered that this place cuts corners. For example, the pillows all had large yellow/brown stains on them. Like the kind that develop after many people drool or do whatever else on them. So, they obviously don't change out the pillows. The middle sheet between the mattress had not been changed out. It was covered in thick, black hairs and dirt. In the second rooms they moved us to, it was the same thing. Yellowed pillows, dirty walls and hair and dirt in the beds. The drains in the showers have rust and calcium build up all over them. So all those things made us feel like this place wasn't clean. The front desk agent did seem genuinely embarrassed and sorry that we had discovered these things. She called a manager, however no one ever showed up to apologize or talk to us. So we cancelled our stay here and left. This was a big deal especially since this was over the 4th of July weekend and most other hotels were booked up. But our family felt we were better off risking no hotel rather than stay in a place that doesn't have standards when it comes to clean rooms.

Perfect accommodation for our large group

We're traveling through to Naples Florida with a family of three adults and four children. We found comfortable, clean, and spacious accommodation in the family suite at Douglas inn and suites. We had two queen beds in one room and a pull out couch kitchen area living space in the other room. It was perfect for our needs. We had a quick breakfast in the morning and headed out. The food was presented in a lovely space with something for all of the children and adults. It was a good choice!
