Sketchy but just about passes
whenyoucantravelon 16/07/2017 23:34I must say I didn't have the greatest of experiences here, I mean the hotel staff were not overly helpful. i wouldn't stay here again but in terms of cost it was reasonable. The location is very well placed
Good for a budget hostel
Woon Yon 13/07/2017 20:56I booked a double-bed room in sincere guest house via agoda and realised it was actually managed/owned by dragon hostel.
Wifi is strong and can be accessed from room. There was a fridge at the common area and I spotted cockroaches around the area. Exterior of the building is quite run down as with many other buildings in Hong Kong.
The room and toilet attached looked clean and neat. Toilet door was faulty (door lock was spoilt and one of the magnets for closing the door was gone). Can't complain much for the price. Unfortunately the aircon was also leaking and my jeans was wet as I hung it on the room door, right under the aircon. Aircon was also dirty and not well maintained.
Because there are no windows, one may be misled into thinking its not time to wake up when it actually is. Set your alarm and rely on your watch/phones!
Honestly couldn't complain
NaomiF2901on 06/06/2017 14:52Yeah it's got its faults but I think when it comes to cheap accomodation in Hong Kong your standards need to be fairly low. You're not going to get anything spacious and you definitely won't have a room with a view. We stayed in two places and this was the slightly better of the two. We had the double bed in the dorm room and were so relieved when we lay down that we got a comfy night sleep after 19 hours of flying. There was a communal fridge, the wifi worked well, it was close to the metro and the shower was hot - happy days
In a Sketchy building, but nice
Jeff Lon 21/05/2017 07:23So this hostel actually shares the seventh floor with another hostel. When you enter the building, past the guy at the desk, you'll see two elevators. The one on the right is for Dragon.
This is also a residential area with other hostel on other floors too so the elevator may be busy during certain times.
Check in is at 2. The people at the desk speak good English. They will watch your luggage if you go out. They tie it up with a lock and chain and give you a paper with a number when you come back to collect it. Someone will be watching it.
The room is nice albeit small. The setup is suite style. You get your own room and tv, though mine was not working. Wi-Fi is good. My room had no window and only a fan to keep cool. Bathroom is shared and small. Toilet, sink and shower are not separated.
It was quiet and I got a good rest. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. It's got a good character to it and the location is next to Mong Kok station. You can get anywhere easily from there.
Small but does the job

Room was small and the window provided no view due to the nature of the hostel
The air con worked however after a few days it was dripping so we turned it off to be on the safe side
The bathroom/wet room in the ensuite was good but slightly small
Good value for money and I would definitely stay here again if I was going to Mong Kok
