Inviting Place Well Situated with Refined Amenities
hrmbcatson 03/08/2017 22:04I traveled solo to New Mexico in July and was very happy to stay at Dreamcatcher Bed & Breakfast. The hosts Purdy and John are lovely people and helped make my visit to Taos even more enjoyable. The property is nicely kept and has the amenities to make the experience comfortable and inviting. My room was beautiful, well maintained by the staff and I looked forward to breakfasts with John's famous flambe oatmeal. It would be wonderful to return!
Lovely B&B with gracious hosts
lenlipon 21/07/2017 00:33We stayed four nights at this lovely B&B. The room (Geko's Garden) was ample sized, very comfortable bed, equipped with refrigerator, good wi-fi connection, ceiling fan was adequate for hot summer period. John and Prudy are very friendly and gracious hosts. John was proud of making a different creative egg concoction each morning - delicious breakfast. We enjoyed meeting other guests each day. At our ages, we did not walk to the Plaza but we were minutes by car from everything in town and we found no problem at all with traffic in mid summer. No bathtub which would have been nice. Certainly recommended.
Wonderful Stay at Dreamcatcher
inlovewithsantafeon 18/07/2017 22:17We had a wonderful stay at Dreamcatcher Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the Pueblo Suite, it has a king size bed and a kiva fireplace with beautiful southwestern décor. The bed was very comfortable. The yard was blooming with colorful flowers. We will be back.
Great Time at Dreamcatcher
Sarah Hon 17/07/2017 22:37We really enjoyed the Dreamcatcher. It is located in a quiet residential area not too far from the Taos Plaza. You could walk in the daytime. We did not attempt night time walking as some of the streets are narrow and without sidewalks. We easily found parking downtown - both on the street and also in a lot where you paid one fee and you could go in and out all day. The owners are delightful and extremely helpful with suggestions on things to do, driving routes, places to eat. The rooms are in small cottages scattered throughout the property around a garden with a lovely sitting area. Our room (Peublo) was very generous sized with a king bed and plenty of sitting room. We were connected to a similar room but never heard any noise. Breakfast was delicious with choices of what to eat and all made as you came in the main house in the morning. We sat at a large table with other guests and shared stories. Each unit had its own parking spot. I would definitely return.
Charming B&B Near Taos Plaza
bobmar1745on 15/07/2017 12:51My wife, son (age 13), and I stayed at Dreamcatcher for two nights in late June. We had a suite with two queen beds and a shared bathroom. The B&B is located on a side street about 10 min walk from Taos Plaza, and the drive/parking to the plaza was not an issue. Rooms and beds are comfortable, clean, and well maintained; the bathrobes are a plus. This is also a "family" operation; John and Prudie run the show. John does a great job with breakfast and Prudie is full of information about the area. There is no lack of conversation around the breakfast table.
The B&B also abuts a creek, so its courtyard is far more lush and shaded that one would expect in New Mexico. A beautiful spot, except for the mosquitoes. I would highly recommend Dreamcatcher for a couple seeking a romantic getaway or for a family with older (or mellow) children who want to explore Taos.
