Great Overnight stop
Gareth497on 13/06/2017 21:08DreiMädelHaus is a lovely small hotel set in countryside, yet is only 15mins off the E1 Nr Bremen.
We broke our journey to Denmark here, both on the way up and back. We would have preferred to stay at their sister hotel, Hotel Waldfrieden in Rogge Dünsen, for our outward journey, but as it had a 17.00 check-in and no showers in the rooms, only baths, so we opted for DreiMädelHaus both times.
Junior Suite (room 32), is in a fairly newly built building, which means a walk along the path through the garden to the main hotel and restaurant. The room itself, is a very good size and well equipped, including a mini-bar, kettle/tea coffee. Breakfast is very good. The Evening meal menu is not that extensive, but they serve generous portions of well cooked and presented hearty fare.
It has good car parking facilities.
Because of the location, and some of the display photographs we are guessing that it may be popular for weddings and could therefore be busy at weekends because of weddings etc.
If you do not have a smattering of German then, things can be a bit challenging as the staff have very little or no English. We struck lucky as the young barmaid (maybe a student) was somewhat better, but whether she is permanently there… but hey - that is what independent travel is all about isn’t it? And perhaps we need to make some more effort too.
We will happily stay here again.
