What People are saying

Nice place, but left a little disappointed

Dan Won 16/08/2017 17:39

Positives:
- Lovely quiet*, serene environment
- Good location to see friends
- Jennifer was very welcoming and conscientious; catering for our needs on the whole
- Delicious home cooked brownie on arrival
- Good breakfast
- Clean, tidy room with cot prepared for baby

Negatives:
- *Family room roof is very loud and creaky, so when anyone walks on the floor above, it's more than loud enough to wake you
- Cancelled our second night stay on the morning after our first night because of lack of sleep (from both floor noise and our children). Commented on the floor waking me on several occasions and was told it was the dog and that t couldn't be helped as an old building. Still had to pay full amount, despite not staying and explaining that the floor kept us awake. I was expecting to pay something for late cancellation, but to not reduce the fee a little was disappointing
- No blind on bathroom window, just a (not very good) net curtain, so had to cover with a towel

Great place to stay

The B&B is located on a working farm and the location is very tranquil and an ideal base.

The owner is friendly and attentive and really makes guests welcome.

There was no phone signal (one was available a couple of hundred yards down the road) but free wi fi was available.

There was a kitchen available and fresh milk in a fridge for making hot drinks.

I stayed at this B&B for two nights in June and would definitely return. Highly recommended.

My Happy Place

Jim Lon 11/04/2017 03:37

You might not want to stay here if silent nights, gentle rolling hills, babbling creeks and dark, starry skies unsettle you. Drum Farm is my happy place. The photogenic countryside is beautiful with rolling hills, streams and rivers. The house is a lovingly converted 300-year-old farmhouse - a beautiful place to stay in! We stayed in the newly renovated 2-room wing with a breakfast nook. Stone and wood construction make for a homey atmosphere. The bedroom was basic but comfortable. The operators are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and the dining area is nicely furnished.

Some minor hitches (water temperature was difficult to control, tap water not safe to drink but there was no bottled water in the room). I’m sure the operators would have corrected this, but we were too tired to ask.

Stayed one night on a road tour - would love to stay longer!

Private & Welcoming

We were greeted in the driveway as we arrived. The host was super friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us our rooms, which were private from everyone else, including our breakfast location. She was lovely to talk with and very helpful with our questions. The breakfast was plenty with a choice between a hot breakfast or cold. We also had the pleasure of meeting their puppy, Milo! Thanks for a great first night in Scotland!

A Hidden Gem of a B&B

Stayed here overnight while visiting friends in Aloha .
A beautiful little place of the beat and track. Jennifer made us very welcome and showed us to our lovely room with Ensuite . She made us feel at home and very relaxed.
The room was well appointed, excellent decor, and extremely comfortable. Good nights sleep was had indeed.
Breakfast was stunning, plenty to choose from and well prepared.
If you are looking to stay in the area this is a great base to travel from. Would definitely stay again if visiting Scotland .
