Relaxing few days out of the hustle and bustle of town!

I stayed here with my family for the last three days of our holiday around Bali and the Gili Islands.

The hotel itself is situated in a very rural area with a 3 min walk down to the beach and overlooking the rice fields. This location is perfect for those seeking a quieter few days but it must be noted that it is quite a bit out of everything without a proper shop nearby and limited restaurants. This can be seen as an issue to some due to the limited offering of food and drink at the hotel itself.

The benefits of this establishment was its seclusion, very accommodating staff and great pool area. The driver (Yogi) was the real asset to this establishment due to his bubbly personality and expert knowledge. He can be hired for excursions and trips at the standard rate!

However, there were a few disappointing elements with regards to the property which are named below:

-Photos on the websites are older and do not reflect the large wall which is now situated outside the widow which blocks the view of the rice paddies completely when in bed (this was the major selling point for us, and was a disappointment). This was the same for the pool area. I highly suggest management update the photos
-The restaurant had a lacklustre options of food and were often sold out of both drinks and goods
-On bookings.com it says that there is a minibar service and a massage for additional cost, both these are not present on the property (massage about 40 mins south) so I highly suggest they are removed from bookings.com website

Overall it was a lovely stay for a decent enough price. However the marketing of the property as "Luxury", a few amenities not present and the photographs displayed on the website, are all slightly deceiving, so please do go there with this knowledge!

Peaceful location

Beautiful, tranquil location set in an authentic location. Views of the ocean and rice paddies all around. All the staff is very accommodating and friendly.

Stunning beach where you could surf is less than 5 min walk.

Joshua District, an art centre that serves the most delicious food all day long is a must (approx 20 min walk).

Fairly easy and cheap to book Uber to go to larger surrounding towns such as Canggu.

Excellent service but maintenance required

The service here has been more than excellent and I feel like we have been treated like one of the locals.

The manager and her staff have been accommodating, friendly, and efficient.

We had wanted to book the main suite but it was fully booked, and the manager allowed us to move there for our final night, with no additional charge, so we could experience how brilliant it is.

The views are stunning and serene, as the hotel is a little out from the main hustle of nearing towns, you truly can relax and unwind, with the sound of nature being the main soundtrack to your stay.

Range of drinks and food could be improved but not a big issue.

The place to be in Bali!

Highly recommended. Far from tourist and close to the sea. We had just an amazing stay here. They're so friendly. The room, bathroom and terrace were amazing. The view is wonderful. Don't hesitate! It's 20 min far from canggu by scooter.

As a group of 6 we had the most incredible stay here. They organized anything we needed for us and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The manager, Sophie was great and interacted with us daily to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The rooms are amazing with great finishings and an amazing day bed upstairs with an amazing view of the rice paddies. The breakfast in the mornings was fantastic and can be served upstairs on the day bed, and the food in the restaurant was delicious and fresh. The location is quite rural but that's exactly what we expected. It's a 6km drive from the Tanah Lot temple which is a great place to view the sunset. Will definitely recommend D'sawah to couples or even groups of friends. Thank you!
