Gianco41on 18/12/2015 16:25Well kept and comfortable hotel. Very clean with a great view of the lake. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. A little noise from the road but the double glazed windows took care of that. Reception and breakfast staff very corteous.
reasonable lake-side hotel
r0landbrunneron 08/11/2015 07:52just separated by a rather busy road from the lake, this mid-level hotel offers a reasonable accomodation for a shorter stay. We had a half-price offer and therewith a really good value for money. check offers!
stayed prior to swimming lake geneva
jules aon 13/08/2015 21:09View from the room was beautiful with a small balcony to enjoy the lake. Was a little noisy as situated on main road but view makes up for this. Hotel location was only a few minutes walk from the train and bus station and easily accessible. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and buffet breakfast was plentiful. The room was a comfortable size with a fan for ventilation which was needed during our stay. Villeneuve is a small town but the hotel is situated right by a local supermarket.
well located and simple

We chose it as it is just around the corner from the free shuttle bus 201 into Montreux for the jazz festival. Outside of festival times the hotel provides a complimentary travel ticket for the same service. The hotel is simple, but comfortable and clean. The restaurant is on the lake side on a pontoon but was overpriced for the food on offer, you are paying for the view. Breakfast is taken indoors and was simple self service but adequate. There is a small bar that stays open until 2.00am. The staff were friendly, but some of the customers were unhappy with us being English....not something I have found anywhere else in Switzerland and hopefully a one-off.
Nice French-style hotel, but rather pricy
Mualimanmatkaajaton 23/06/2013 12:50A view from the Du Port towards Lake Geneva is amazing, but prepare to pay a price that would entitle to even better hotel.
We stayed one night in July 2013. Hotel was easy to find and it is located in a nice small town of Villeneuve a bit aside from the action of Montreux. Du Port has a "romantic feeling" with soft colours and French balcony although it hasn't stand the test of time.
Breakfast was average. We did not test the hotel restaurant, which was on other side of the road.
Pros:
+ Nice and helpful service.
+ Romantic feeling.
+ All basic services near by in Villeneuve (few restaurants and supermarkets)
+ Fast wi-fi connection. We really appreciate this, because many hotels tell they have a good connection - but the reality is something else.
Cons:
- Expensive. For this price one would expect more.
- Busy road in front of the hotel. I´d consider this more as a safety risk than a noise problem. At peak hours it may be hard to cross the road to reach example the hotel restaurant.
- Our room was a bit hot. Single old fan did not help at all.
