What People are saying

Good......but could've been better

magician147on 21/06/2017 21:07

Like many hotels I stay in around the World, this hotel had lots of positives. It was just a shame that the negatives that I found were probably so simple to address - but weren't.

All the staff I encountered were lovely and attended to any request I had in good spirit and time. I received a warm welcome upon arrival and couldn't fault their efforts to make me feel looked after.

The food I ate there ( breakfast and room service when I arrived ) was nice. The selection at breakfast could've been better but what was there was nice. It had a "Premier Inn" feel to it, which is fine if you're staying at a Premier Inn as I have done many times, but I kind of felt it could've been better.

Waiting for some friends to pick me up one night I had a drink at the bar and was looked after very well - they also served a good pint which is essential! The flatscreen TVs were on and I could've happily stayed there for the night as the atmosphere was so good.

The decor in reception was nice but unfortunately vanished once you made it to your room. Avoid the staircase to the first floor at all costs! There is a serious fly / spider issue there, no doubt caused by the window being constantly left open and a large light being on the whole time. A very strange thing to do considering the notice in the bedroom to avoid doing this or risk flooding your room with flies. This is where I felt the hotel let itself down if I'm honest. The general decor once you leave reception and for want of a better word, hygiene in the public staircase left me feeling a bit yuk. My bedroom was fine but as I say, quite dated and again that "Premier inn" feel definitely played its part.

Having said all this I would stay there again - I'll just take my own fly killing spray next time.

brilliant fathers day

All the family 13 in total including 2 vegans and 1 vegetarian met for fathers day lunch .Everyone had a fabulous time including 2 children who were able to play outside in the sunshine safely. The food and service was outstanding and as usual no one was disappointed or had any complaints.Wheelchair access for two 88 year olds great .The two vegans have again said that their meals were nicer than anywhere else that they have been to. always lots to choose from and not the usual one choice.

I stayed in this hotel last night 6-5-17 and have to say that from arrival to leaving it was a very pleasant stay. Very clean and good room.
The staff were very pleasant and the young staff at breakfast were very polite and friendly. It's a pleasure these days to see a smile on young people's faces.
A big thanks to all.
Matthew
