Bit of a downer
EricandAnnon 11/08/2017 00:57During an 18 day road trip through California, Utah and Colorado this was a two night stop. It was a disappointment. Ground floor room facing a car park gave no sense of security. The room was clean enough, but not outstanding, the shower was good and the bed comfortable. Wi-if was non-existent, in room coffee even more sparse than usual, lobby unwelcoming, no facilities for any sort of breakfast (Denny's across the road, brilliant). The only thing going for this place is it's proximity to town centre shops and restaurants. But to get to those you have to cross the 550, which is always busy, as we could hear all night. We stayed in 10 hotels throughout our trip. This was the worst by a distance. It needs refurbishing, inside and out. Couldn't wait to leave.

jarvo2001on 04/08/2017 15:08We went to the 7 places to stay in the heart of durango. The downtown in was the cheapest by $40, so I was expecting it to be a bit rundown.
I was pleasantly suprised. Large room with 2 doubles, dining area, TV etc... Very clean and spacious.
Ask for a second floor river view its a bit quieter
Bad points: Bathroom was small and we had to pay extra for the fridge.
Dog Friendly, Close to Downtown
Debbie Ron 28/07/2017 18:36These rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and dog friendly. The hotel is right on the river where there is a lovely paved walk. Just up the hill is the main hub of Durango, so it is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops.

brittpeaon 25/07/2017 01:57Entrance to rooms were located on the outside of the hotel, which made for easy entrance. Courtyard was nice and clean. Enjoyed using hot tub/jacuzzi and pool. Rooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Glad to have laundry room on location. I would have given a 5, but it was misleading that microwave and fridge were listed as included. You are charged $20 extra to have these amenities for your stay.

Monroe Son 13/07/2017 17:13Needs to be updated not worth the price. I wish we would shelled out the 40 extra and stayed at the Straiter down town. The back side borders the river walk. A lot of people have easy acess to you outside. I saw no security. 160 a night 60 to much.
