Nice
annk1954on 26/10/2016 23:08Stayed overnight here on 21st October as I had business to see go in Mauchline the next day. I had booked a single room but because I was the only one there Linda moved me into a double room which also had a single bed. Double bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. In the morning I had breakfast which consisted of cereal, juice, fruit, toast and tea as I did not want a fry up. I certainly recommend Dykefield Farm
Peace and quiet
MSE50on 03/05/2016 15:23Thoroughly enjoyed a 2 night stay here at the start of April. Large, warm and comfy rooms and great breakfast! The guesthouse is located on a working farm and how we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the views. Hope to come back again.
real farm experience
AniaElon 23/01/2015 17:33This B&B is an actual working farm. Off the beaten track. To find it you'll need to look for a small farm road between Mauchlin and Kilmarnock. Going from Mauchline look to your right. I found it with difficulties, at night time, in a pouring rain. However, the owner - Lynda was very helpful, patiently giving me directions and offering to meet me on the main road.
The room I got was a huge family room - very comfortable. The bathroom is shared, but there was no queue ever. I stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast can be ordered depending on what you like and what time you want it.
It is not just any B&B. I'd reccommend it for people looking for a stay in a very quiet, remote area. Also who don`t mind smells and noises of a working farm ;) Owner Lynda - very friendly and helpful person!
Excellent value
redimp21on 10/09/2014 08:59Stayed at this B&B last weekend. It proved an excellent find.
The welcome was friendly, the room we stayed in was really good with a very comfortable bed and plenty of space.
The location was handy, being just a couple of minutes from the historic town of Mauchline and a short drive from the coast too.
Breakfast each morning was really nicely done.
Overall fantastic value and we will definitely stay again whenever we are visiting this area of Scotland.
Quiet and lovely stay
