We could not of been happier staying here. The rooms are decorated nicely with larged beds, very clean, the food was excellent and they even let us watch them cook so we had our own free cooking lession. Amin and Rafik were amazing... super friendly, very talkative and kind, nothing was to much trouble. They let us arrive late the day after we booked as we were not feeling well, we were very grateful. We arrived as guests we will leave as family. Thank you so much

Found this place from Lonely Planet reviews and stayed seven nights. I wasn't disappointed either! Ali the manager has a lovely personality and has created a wonderful young team to help run the place. He always seems to be there to welcome all arrivals no matter the time.

My room, although small, on the ground floor was more than adequate, after all, only used for sleeping which I have to say, was very good. The place is in a quiet residential area just to the north of the fort, and the local families are delightful. Made a pleasant change to have children laughing & playing outside rather than traffic noise. Takes around 15 minutes to casually stroll to the fort entrance or the main markets.

The rooftop cafe has magnificent views of my favourite fort in the world (yep, I'm biased but I love it), it's got to be seen, day or night. The cafe also serves very good food, and I got to know the chef a little, and he's very helpful, as well as a good cook!

If I have one small comment, it would be to partition between the reception and the ground floor rooms, as sound at night echos along the stone walls.....a minor thing though.

Overall, I loved staying here and would happily return next time. Thank you Ali for your hospitality, your advice and that lovely welcome smile every day .You've created a very good place to stay.

Great choice!

We stayed in the hotel and did their camel safari and both was great! (coming from Travellers on a budget)

We booked two budget rooms two days in advance and were picked up from the train station at 1am where a guy had been waiting for us in the cold for 1 1/2 hours (!) we were then shown our rooms which had been upgraded to a standard and deluxe room without a change in price which was very kind.
In the morning we spoke with the hotel manager about his camel safari and that (we had to take an earlier train hence only had one more night in Jaisalmer) we would have to do it the same day if it would still be possible.
He arranged it without hindrance and let us check out of our room later as it was such short notice.

The safari was exactly as described except that the car wasn't a Jeep but a normal white Indian car.
Our two camel men were very friendly and we managed to communicate with them rather well.
The first part of our camel journey was mainly on dirt tracks as the two guides were walking and it would have been too exhausting to do the whole stretch on sand. When we arrived in the dunes it was stunning however!
On arrival we were made a delicious chai and then got to walk around, take photos and discover the dunes.
Dinner was ready when we wanted it and it was very tasty!
We felt like Kings and Queens the way we were served, so polite, they would have let us eat all the food even though it was all they get as well!
When we wanted to sleep they prepared the bed for us and gave us so many blankets that being cold wasn't even an option.
Breakfast was the only negative aspect. The toast was already slightly mouldy around the edges, the biscuits artificial and the jam typically Indian.
It would be better to be served some chapatis, banana and chai than a failed attempt at western cuisine.
When we arrived back at the room we got to shower and relax and were taken care of and never felt put under pressure.
I would recommend this safari to anyone for its price, ease and comfort!

Amazing food, amazing hospitality and amazing rooms, totally worth
