Typical hotel from domatory
Rimantas_Von 15/06/2017 06:56It is hotel that was made from previous domatory. Rooms are very basic and still is looking like soviet style domatory. Furniture is old style. Rooms are equiped with everything you need to stay for a short time. During breakfast we were offered different kind of sausages, chees, eggs, even fish (famous Latvian "sprats" - smoken fish in oil) So it was a nice breakfast. Domatory is located close to the old town. Unfortunatelly there is no night life in it, so we were looking for dinner in other places. Finely we found a leaflet named "Kur paest" - where to have a meal. We found pizzeria near by. There is a small super market close to the hotel (of 2 stores), which offres food and drinks.

eenricaaaaon 06/10/2016 20:39Starting from the breakfast,it is poor and the coffee seems water. There isn't neither a barman who can make you a good one. Dirty rooms,uncomfortable beds and pillows and not working wifi. Bad smell everywhere; blankets and towels are dirty and the rooms at not daily cleaned.
Surprisingly clean
oa2on 21/07/2016 11:43This hotel seems to be set up in a building of an old dorm or something alike. The worst part was that the shower and sink/toilet are in two different rooms and both are very tiny. Hotel offers free WiFi connection, but it did no actually work.
The building is possibly from 1960's and there are still lots of things from back then, such as door locks, for instance. Nevertheless, the hotel is surprisingly clean. The staff is polite. The breakfast is good. And the location is excellent.

Rune Aon 01/08/2015 22:00This hotel has simple rooms, is nice and clean and most of all offers great location for a low price. The standard is not that high, but it has what you need for a good nights sleep. Some fo fthe rooms my party booked smelled of mold, but the staff were eager to help in changing the rooms
Everything is post-soviet
RolandsRolandson 01/09/2014 16:01This is classic example of post-soviet hotel. It looks it was set up in nineties with really strong ambitions. They decorated rooms with expensive but rather tasteless Italian furniture with matched green (expensive) wallpapers, mixed every possible style to reflect nineties perception of luxury (mostly coming from Latinamerican dramas) without comfort. It seems it was really an effort to find green color bath of that size. Currently hotel is a bit ran down, once expensive furniture is showing its age, broken shades of lamps havent been replaced and nobody ever thought that moving things around the toilet would actually make it much more comfortable for guests. Breakfast is poor. Nobody cares about it being tasty or warm or replenished on time. Hotel staff do their job, but not that they care. From other hand its pretty cheap, rooms are clean and tasteless furniture is not screaming at you.
