Reef Pool

I love the reef pool. It is the best thing a resort could offer, IMO, especially when the weather will not allow you to swim in the open waters. I wish all other resorts had a reef pool too. I felt safe swimming while the waves crashed outside of the pool. The sharks would sometimes give me a fright when they would suddenly appear in front of me, but that was cool. I would spend my weekends there if the place wasn't so far.

The most amazing sunset

Here I experienced the most amazing sunset I have ever seen. Generally the resort is targeting diving people (which I am not) but has some nice features (swimming pool, good rooms, private beach...by boat).
Some parts need to be renovated (games area), some things were not working (no buffet breakfast, perhaps it was a low season) but generally a good few days to relax.
What is hard is to travel from Manila.... very long time.

Best Resort in Batanggas!

I stayed here for 2 nights & 3 days! The service was superb. The hotel rooms were breathtaking and amazingly arranged to suit the native elegance of the Philippines without giving up comfort and luxurious vibe. The resort has a Water reef pool where in house guests can experience once in a lifetime swimming with baby sharks and practice snorkeling & diving. Another pool is separately designed for swimming alone. Food is great! Guests also has access to the private beach, Sepoc Island which can only be reached through arrangements with this resort. I must say that this resort is one of the best places in the country! Truly a must visit!

Just a short drive from Manila but once you get to mabini it's a bit hard to find the resort. Road signages could be improved. The entrance from the main road was sketchy and the narrow path going down the resort was just enough to fit one car. You have to drive slowly and honk you horn to let the oncoming cars let them know you are coming. First time drivers beware and make sure to check your brakes because the road going down the resort requires low gear and brakes since it's extremely steep! Once you get to their parking lot, the resort van will take you down another steep road to the entrance of the resort.

Not sure why they had buffet style serving plates & soup holders. Was it for show or for big groups?

Pros:
-relaxing view
-heated (I think) swimming pool
-salt water pool with baby sharks encounter
-cottages have a view of the sea
-rooms were ok hot/cold shower

Cons:
-food (menu was limited & expensive) +10% service charge
-kitchen is open until 9pm or 10pm so better eat up or buy sandwiches for a possible midnight snack
-don't order the pizza (it was undercooked)
-no place to buy chips or snacks
