Amazingly beautiful and peaceful stay!

It was an absolutely fabulous stay for me! If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful get-away, this is the place! Emy was super helpful in booking all my tours for me the day I arrived and had great recommendations and tips. The hotel was gorgeous, clean, and peaceful. It's also a quick walk (maybe 5-7 mins) to main street, malecon, and beach without being in the center of all the hectic noise.

Great value accommodation in Mancora

Eco lodge is tucked back into a quiet corner of town away from the highway traffic and dance clubs. From there it's only a 5 minute walk to the main tourist drag of Mancora with all the shopping and restaurants. It is a bit hard to find, even for the local taxistas, so it can be helpful if you can show them a map.

The staff was absolutely delightful. There are two young French ladies who work reception who always greet you with a warm smile and provide help with anything you may need. It was this personal touch that I felt was the highlight of my stay in Eco Lodge. They're also fluent in both Spanish and English.

The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, and I think you would be hard-pressed to find a better one in any of the restaurants in town. First they bring you a freshly chopped fruit salad and a cup of strong coffee, followed butter and jam to be spread on what is seriously the best bread I've had anywhere in Peru - and I've lived here for 4 years! And when I thought that was everything, I smelled something delicious being cooked up in the kitchen. A few minutes later I was brought a pancake covered in chocolate sauce! I could not have been more satisfied.

The room was clean and comfortable, and it came equipped with an incense spiral that you can light at night to keep the mosquitos at bay. All of the rooms open into the pool-hangout area, which also has spaces set up for yoga (mats are provided) and sunbathing. If I were interested in swimming in the pool I might have wanted it to be cleaner, but that wasn't a personal priority for me.

Eco Lodge really hits the mark on so many levels, and it's apparent that they aim to give every traveler a great experience. In my case, they succeeded spectacularly!

Island of tranquility walking distance to all amenities!

I went for work for a couple days, and I needed to stay close to town, I'm lucky I found this hotel, it was walking distance from the place I needed to go for work and I was walking distance from the best restaurants and bars in town also, If you want to surf its also a 5 mins walk from the surf point in mancora. The architecture of the hotel is really out of the ordinary with a warm and cozy feeling, my room was spacious with A/C and the mattress was great, I never sleep much but I had a hard time leaving the bed!, its really a place to rest and relax, I had a massage (they have a massage room!) and it was really an experience to remember. Overall one of the best values in town, I will be back for sure!

We booked our room super last minute after other accommodations fell through. The staff were incredibly accommodating regardless of our last minute booking and our room was amazing. Staff had great recommendations about the surrounding area and set up surfing lessons for us. The breakfast was excellent: homemade muffins, bread and fresh fruit. Very cozy atmosphere.

vacation from traveling

My friend and me had been backpacking through South America for two months after we decided to have vacation from traveling in a Hotel instead of an Hostel.
Our room which we had for six night was spacious and the breakfast was always delicious.
Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time especially with the intern Alexia.
All in all we highly recommend the Eco Lodge.
