What People are saying

Awful evening

Susan Don 08/08/2017 19:08

The desk clerk was nice & the ac worked...that's all I can say that's good about it. The room phone didn't work. There were holes in the bed spread. The tv didn't work. The ceiling had missing plaster every where. The door looked as if it had been busted in.....I had to leave that same day. I arrived after 4:00, so I was charged for the night. I left around 5:00. Also, there was a lot of construction at the hotel and in front of the hotel. Good luck...you'll need it

VIRTUAL DUMP

Place needs to be bulldozed and debris dumped 100 miles out to sea; on second thought that is extremely bad for the environment. Need a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the parking lot. External view of hotel...thought it was an abandoned building. Front office interior trashed; slovenly staff.
Room unbelievably ghetto; holes in drywall, carpeting stained, cigarette burns everywhere to include the bathroom. Ceiling dilapidated and peeling. Razor-thin walls...clearly heard the private phone call from adjacent room. Bathroom and shower fixtures loose and cruddy. TV old-school and unwatchable; provided great volume as to make someone think we were in the room when we left for dinner. Paid $85.00 for the privilege of sleeping in a dump. Criminal. Choice Hotels...the entire chain...has lost ALL of my business forever. Cannot believe the lowest I can rate this place is one star.

horrible outbreak from bedbugs

Lizbeth Hon 01/06/2017 00:26

I stayed at the econolodge on boundery st Beauffort SC. After 3 nights there I went home with a horrible reaction to bed bug bites that kept coming out on my skin for over a week. 5 weeks later I still have sores and scars. The econolodge did not have an onsite manager and the Owner company did not want to do anything. They did not want to reimburse me anything including all of my medical expenses.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

DO not stay here; we didn't make it through the night!!!

The yellow caution tape should have been a sign. Had 3 rooms reserved for my son's graduation from boot camp at Parris Island. We were there a day early than the rest. Thank GOd were. 1st room we were sent to was smoking and we had reserved smoking. Got it changed. The next room the floor was so nasty I didn't want to take my shoes off. The bathroom had holes in the wall. I felt like I was getting by bugs and the gigantic spider sharing the room with us was not a welcome sight. From the time we entered the room I was looking for another hotel.( not an eay task the night before Family Day at Parris Island) Finally found another and left adn drove 30 minutes down the road at 1130 pm to a new hotel. Tiring but well worth it. one other note I could not imagine eating the breakfast they offer.

Wanted to sleep in my car instead

Linda Bon 18/11/2016 02:55

TV only had one channel , not enough towels & TOO MANY ROACHES!!! Found one in bed & that's when I thought of sleeping in the car. Or thought of sleeping with the lights on. So e under door big enough for a squirrel to come in !Traffic awful. Lots of construction & barrels. I am serious!
