What People are saying

Comfortable and economical

capecodken2015on 19/07/2017 23:18

I booked this hotel before reading some of the reviews, so I was a bit apprehensive about my upcoming experience. I was very pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff was very helpful and efficient and my room was clean and very comfortable. The complaints I read about in earlier reviews were addressed and corrected. For example, someone complained about plates in the breakfast area not fitting in the receptical, solution: smaller plates. Two tv remotes: solution a printed sheet at the front desk as how to use them. Complementary breakfast was adequate with bagels, muffins, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereals, coffee, milk, juices etc. Overall a nice stay.

No internet No Cable

Jeffery Ron 28/06/2017 01:46

I recently stayed at this establishment for one night. I checked in took a shower and went out for a few hours upon my return I went to relax and watch some television and the cable is not working. At this time I also noticed the Internet was not working. I politely went to the front desk and asked if there was any issues going on with the cable or the Internet. The front desk agent told me that she hadn't Heard of any issues as of yet. At this point she offered no assistance to me whatsoever other than I'm sorry. I work third shift primarily so I'm always up during the night, this night like no other I was up although I could not access my Internet on my phone nor laptop nor could I watch television. If I use my phone I was using all of my data. I went back-and-forth to the front desk several times during the course of the night with no resolvement of my issues. I was told that she would leave a note for the general manager of the hotel and he would also be in at 7 AM the next morning. I went and checked out there was no manager on duty and this was around 10:30 AM. I left another message with the new front desk person letting her know of my experiences and that I would want a callback from the general manager as soon as possible to discuss what happened. She said of course she will have him call as soon as he gets in. Later on that night around 7 PM I called back to speak to the manager because I never got a phone call back. I was assured that the manager would call me back the next day. This is going on the third day with no manager call back and no manager available to speak to when I call the location. Why should I pay for a night stay that has Internet and cable provided in the price of the room. The lack of customer service is Atrocious at this establishment. I will never stay at this property again and I will make sure that no one that I know stays here either. The room also smelled of smoke the bed was very uncomfortable and the smoke detectors blinked rapidly yellow flashes throughout the entire night.

DO NOT STAY HERE - Terrible Hotel in nearly all respects

DougcpWon 22/06/2017 01:29

My expectations were fairly low for this run-of-the mill hotel change, and the place still managed to disappoint. From the front desk staff member who was rude, dirty and slovenly, to the room, which smelled of smoke and chemicals, to the beds with mattresses that rate a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 - this place disappoints. What's worse is that weekend rates range up to the low $200s/nite, when the place is a poor value at $90 per nite!

Worst Hotel Stay We Ever Had

Kelly Ton 11/05/2017 01:33

We were given keys to an occupied room - entered it - no apology, no compensation for us or other guest
Wifi didn't function properly
TV had 2 remotes and special instructions - the instructions were not near the tv or the remotes - we accidentally found them
Channel changing remote stopped working after an hour
Breakfast was terrible
Plates for breakfast were 10" diameter stiff styrofoam and openings to trash 6" diameter - we had to crack plates to throw away
Desk staff awkward and unhelpful -

Fine place to stay if your faves our booked

LadureeFanon 10/05/2017 01:44

Stayed here for a night when my two favorite hotels in the area were booked. Don't think I've ever stayed in an Econo Lodge. The room was comfortably sized, quiet, and clean but furnishings are dated and the price per night was higher than I would have expected for these accommodations. Also, breakfast selections were fewer than at other hotels with breakfast included. To end on a positive note, the staff was very nice and the location isn't far from any of the 5 nearby colleges. I would stay here again if my faves aren't available.
