Paul Bon 10/08/2017 17:14Apparently they don't stock windex. Run down. Room ok. NO Working ice machine and it looks like it hasn't worked for some time, however im assuming its the owners show up for work in BMW SUV. Wifi excellent. Econolodge not checking on upkeep of their locations.
Emphasis on econo
Reindeer1on 05/08/2017 14:07The Econolodge in Yarmouth is absolutely plain, it is clean but rather dingy and utterly lacking in charm. The breakfast is white bagels with white bread and white muffins there was absolutely no whole-grain anything and no Plain yogurt. For $125 on the Cape in high season it is a place to lay your head for the night but not more tomorrow than that. The beds were firm and clean and if you're comfortable having the windows open on both sides where people can walk by there's a lovely fresh Cape air at night otherwise you must use the air conditioning.
We had a nice Stay
Beachglassgirl1on 02/07/2017 00:36After staying a night last year, we decided to spend our second week on the Cape here and get the same room. We like to stay at Choice Hotels, and they're aren't many left this year on the Cape. The bed was so comfortable , room was clean. The shower was a little small, so might ask for different room if we get back there in the Fall.
Think we might have checked in with the owner who was very nice, and then there were two new clerks just learning the job, who were both very nice and always had a smile on their face when we walked by.
Lot's of restaurants close by, and not far from Kalmus beach which is our favourite to sit at. Good icecream shop across the street, and Dukin Donuts all with walking distance what more could you ask for. Hope to stay there again.
quick get away
2togetherinmaon 20/06/2017 21:03Booked a quick trip based on the indoor pool. Apparently there are several bad reviews. We didn't think it was so bad. Nothing fancy, had flat screen TV, and was clean. Staff was friendly. Inexpensive, and right on 28.
Definitely No Frills
Wryter1956on 15/06/2017 23:21We stayed at the Econo Lodge in West Yarmouth last month. The desk clerk was polite and helpful. The room was clean, however there were a few challenges. I have a moderate handicap, so getting on and off the rather HIGH king size bed presented quite a challenge. The mattress was comfortable, but getting on and off it caused back and arm strain. They need to lower it a good 8 inches. Also, the bathroom was clean but there were no safety appliques in the tub so slipping is a distinct danger. There are no hand rails in the shower, not even a soap dish to hold on to. The sink had exposed pipes underneath and a very sluggish drain. The vent in the ceiling sounded like a 747 taking off at the airport. I would not stay there again unless these things are addressed. Definitely not handicapped friendly!
