CAT PEE, MANAGER INFLATED PRICE FROM $70 TO $105 BECAUSE ALL ROOMS WERE BOOKED ON THE HIGHWAY

Cindy Ron 03/07/2017 03:13

CAT PEE --I should've walked out when I saw the manager's cat walk through the lobby on check in

DON'T BOTHER --- On 7/1/2017 at 12:30 PM every hotel from Redding to Medford was full. I called there and the manager told me he was saving a room for a guy but it was late and he'd give it to me --- I got a room there and was charged $105 -- the front desk clerk, MANAGER, said he had to charge expensive rates, (despite the regular rate posted is $70 - he inflated the price because he could.

I went to the room and immediately smelled cat pee --- I called the front desk, no answer, went down, no answer -- and left the hotel. It's filthy -- in the front lobby when I checked the manager had a cat -- that should've clued me in

I called the manager today and wanted a refund and he LAUGHED AT ME -- HE SAID "This is America - I have your signature - you don't get your money back, I could've resold the room.... (yeah, he could have but he went to bed when I went back to get a refund). ?????

I"m contesting it with my credit card company -- and I'm also writing the Corporate Office and filing a formal complaint against this shady manager. He's creepy -- he said he'd give me the room because I was a female. EWWWWWW.....

So Mr. Manager, there you go --- I'll end up with my money, but be prepared to answer questions from the corporate office.

Excellent value

It's an old fashion motel, nothing fancy, but for $80 a night you can't beat it. It's away from the crowds downtown, about a 5-minute drive to town center. Room was fine, had a refrigerator and a microwave and a hair dryer and an ironing board and iron. Bed was good, shower was good, free WiFi and HBO. And they have a pool.
What more do you need?

Good spot to stop to sleep with our RV rental. Many long term residents, but even with I5 near it was pretty quiet. Neighbors were nice and we god a good nights sleep. Price was reasonable and even spots available for a last minute drop in.

Coming thru Ashland, Oregon over the Holidays? Stay here!

Diane Ton 15/12/2016 01:11

If you want a great place to stay while passing thru Ashland, Oregon on I-5, you have found it. Located right at Exit 19, the EconoLodge is a super value for the price. All the rooms are clean and very well kept. If you are travelling alone, you can feel secure with the double-lock doors. They accept dogs for an additional charge. The Breakfast is excellent with the best coffee in the Rogue Valley. Easy on and off from the freeway, so you are not wasting time and gas driving thru town. This IS the best rest in Ashland!

A story and not a good one

After driving 5 hours called to see if we could check in early. I was told that earliest would be 2 as the cleaning lady want even in yet (check in is 3) I explained our issue and I was told to call back at 1. Called at 1 was told to give them 20min. At check in was told by the lady owner that SHE was the cleaning lady and "sorry I had a birthday party to go to". Was told that for the dogs it would be another $30 above what the website and reservations stated. Ok so the $90 just became $120. 😐. Ok check in room is small and sooo dated. But for what could have been $90 would ok I guess.
Ok ran around town came back late and was going to crawl into bed after a long drive and a long day to find a bug in the bed. I freak (no a bug girl not even a little bit) husband comes back in after walking dogs and I proceed to have him tear apart the bed to get said bug. Don't find THAT one but do find another bug AND hair in the bed. We also found a nasty 2 inch bed topper over the kind boxspring. Needless to say at midnight I'm not moving everything into another room so I get NO SLEEP.
In the morning no coffee machine. Post shower no hair dyer and what do my eyes see in the wall by the bed.... COCKROACH yep this was a smaller version of the 2 that were in the bed last night.
So $120 for a sleepless night in the cockroach motel and not even a cup of coffee or dry hair ....
Burn it down and start over
