Yuck!
Carol Eon 27/07/2017 17:18I stayed overnight July 26, 2017. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke- the lobby, the halls, but thankfully not my room. I ordinarily would have ran out the door upon smelling the lobby, but I was exhausted and literally could not go on. There are also no other choices in the town. I entered my room on the 2nd floor (had to drag my suitcase up a flight of narrow stairs- no elevator). Want ice? it's only available on the 1st floor, down the same narrow flight of stairs. Yes, in case you are wondering, there is only 1 flight of stairs available, at 1 end of the hall. Not very safe, in my own opinion.
The 2nd floor also reeked of cigarette smoke (no smoking signs everywhere). I just wanted a shower and something to eat, then hit the sack. Nope- had to take a bath. The shower did not work. To drain the tub, I had to hold the very rusted out plug by hand, as it kept dropping back down- apparently from the very hard water? I am guessing that's why the shower stopped working?
I realized I had forgotten my toothbrush. I noticed the sign on the vanity regarding (like most places), "If you have forgotten a necessary toiletry item, please see our front desk for a complimentary replacement." I did, and was informed that I would have to go to the convenience store that was in the next door strip mall to purchase one.
Speaking of, it was about 10:00 at night, and the place was DARK. No security lights between the hotel and the convenience store. Asking for trouble there, someday....
Cheap sheets, low thread count, as pilling occurring with each wash.
Cigarette hole burned in bed spread.
Carpet half-hearted vacuumed. Hair pins underneath the vanity left over from previous occupants. With the lack of care and lack of sense of urgency in cleanliness, I wasn't about to trust the complimentary breakfast.
saying bye to my son was hard to leave

Multiple Issues
MamaofDakMatBryon 02/01/2017 06:56We decided to go out of town at the last minute to go ATV riding in Pineville. When I made the reservation (over the phone) I told the lady we'd be coming in very late. My husband goes in to check us in. He waited roughly 10 min at the desk until he realized the guy sleeping by the TV. The guy tells us 310 at first (there was only 2 floors) The guy hands my hubby our room keys with WiFi code inside. We pulled around the side and couldn't get our keys to work in the side doors. In the freezing cold at 2am, I run around the building to ask what's wrong with our keys & THEN he tells me the doors don't work. Our whole trip we stayed 3 days (over New Years) and daily something went wrong. We tried to use the business office to have me fall out of the broken chair & no WiFi. Our room...the sink dripped & the toilet leaked. The bed & pillows were VERY firm (in case you like sleeping on a log). We had barely no places to plug in our phones and other electronics except behind the bed. Someone stole items out of another guests truck that was next to ours in which the police were called, someone got evicted and all their items were just sitting in the hallway & finally we were fed up and decided to go home & forfeit our 3rd night. We were packing our luggage and my husband found dirty underwear, socks and a t-shirt in the dresser from someone else. We are heading back to KC now and won't stay there again! On a better note...There was a male housekeeper that was very nice & we don't need immunizations. Lol.
Family visit
sillywitnesson 20/12/2016 04:21This hotel has no competition in this town, but luckily this didn't become an 'if I have to' kind of choice. The location is convenient as it's on the highway and right next door to most of the small town's restaurants. The room and the access areas we used were clean and in good order, save for some wear points that could have used some minor touch ups, i.e. scuff or score marks on wood, minor stains on mattresses or carpet, or one joint in our room's window curtain being broken etc. The service was friendly, helpful, and professional for the most part. However, it seemed as if the overnight staff were hanging out behind the counter more than working there at one point. Also, the morning staff opened an outside access door to the pool room to use it for a smoking break. This made out pool experience much less enjoyable, as the room was much colder during our December stay, and none of us enjoyed the second hand smoke. Apart from this, the pool area was clean and in good order. I would stay here again.
Pet friendly
Ronna Don 26/10/2016 00:43We love this location. Close to highway and they accept pets. Nothing fancy but clean and reasonably priced. Centrally located if you want to visit Noel and Pineville and we even ventured on down to Bella Vista and Eureka Springs. Try to get a room on the back side.
