TheBlairs_10on 05/06/2017 23:52This hotel is older yet has some updates. The employees we spoke to were all very friendly. We were in the back of the hotel so it was very peaceful. Only noise was the train going thru that lasted a few minutes. The breakfast was normal hotel one but was well stocked. Right off the highway and close to a lot of choices to grab to eat.
Just what we needed!
Barbara Son 17/05/2017 02:01We were stopping for the night on route from New Orleans to Canada... this motel was just what we needed. It was easy off/easy on access to highway, the room was exceptionally clean, the front desk staff was welcoming, Cracker Barrel one minute walk away, bed and pillows comfortable, breakfast was good and the mini fridge came in handy. Importantly, the price was right. We will definitely make this same stop on our next trip!
Ok place to stay with a dog
treesprite07on 13/04/2017 02:05This is an older motel and it is showing its age. However, it was very clean and I would stay there again. The staff was friendly and there was a nearby field for the dog. I think we were staying in the part of the motel that hasn't been renovated but, like I said it was clean.
Loud visit
Christine Eon 11/04/2017 12:38The hotel room was clean as was the bathroom. The tv stations didn't come in very well. The continental breakfast was tasty & had much to offer. Only complaint was the people upstairs were noisy. I rarely complain to the front desk on trips but this situation needed attention. It sounded as though children were jumping off beds & wrestling around, then running down hallways. This continued for an hour or so & when I called the desk they told me they had called all the rooms & no one answered. Most likely the children were unsupervised as an adult would probably answer a hotel phone but kids might feel uncertain. It was offputting, as I don't think I'd want to return to here if all they do is call a room. I'd felt better had someone physically gone to check.
The town itself where we stayed is very small & not a lot to do but the area has neat things like Kentucky Down Under zoo & Mammoth Caves. If you're looking for something to do after visiting the larger attractions, you're limited to a few places like Dinosaur World & a small museum. There's horseback riding/trails & canoeing that I may try to take the kids, & there are more caves to explore at their National Park.

sczee60on 16/03/2017 02:31It's an older hotel, in the midst of being renovated but very clean. Staff friendly. Would recommend and I would stay again. Numerous places to eat in walking distance. 10 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park.
