What People are saying

A true roach motel.

Lisa Son 28/04/2017 16:39

All I can say is drive as fast as you can to the next motel this place is worse than a dump. I wish I would have slept in my car it would have been more comfortable than the lumpy blocks in the rooms that are covered with stains and smell like urine. There were stains on the comforters. The room it self smells horrible which I believe was coming from the black residue In the vents. The door did not shut all the way, the noise coming from the other rooms was insane. What ever you do do not take your shoes off the carpets are gross. There was trash on the floor right by the edge of the bed. The toilet barely flushes, the tub was disgusting and had hairs in the drain. What finally made me leave at 3:30 a.m were the roaches crawling on me while I was sleeping. I had killed maybe 6 before I went to sleep and after I went to sleep I felt something crawling on me and I turned on the light and roaches scattered. The people that work at the front desk are the rudest and laziest humans I have ever seen in my life, and do not care how bad your room is.

Lots of Oil Workers Here

AuntieM64on 17/04/2017 03:00

This was an OK motel. There were a lot of oil field workers there, so there was a lot of noise with comings and goings. There was a "restaurant" and bar on premises that I thought I would have a bite to eat in. The "restaurant"/bar space is leased and not run by the actual hotel, but when I sat down, the one waitress in the place was paying attention to the one other table that had people there, and I sat and waited for a good 15 minutes with not even an acknowledgement that I was in the room - so I left. When I tried to get onto the internet, I could not do it by putting my room number in like prompted - so I called the front desk and was told to put another room number in - that worked; however on my last night there, the internet and satellite TV did not work in my room and "they were fixing it." The next morning did not have either service again.

Great low budget hotel, large rooms

pinkhawaiianflowerson 31/03/2017 04:10

This hotel building is older, but everything was up to date and clean. Our room was very large with a refrigerator, microwave and wet bar. We only stayed one night to go to the Carlsbad Caverns, and it was very comfortable. I forgot my pillow in the room when we checked out and the housekeeping staff held it for me and even washed my pillowcase! There is also a sports bar on the property, but we didn't try it. We weren't aware of it until we had already gone out for dinner.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Jamie Won 20/03/2017 05:23

I really hate to post negative reviews but I would hate for anyone else to have the same experience we did. First, while we were checking in, there were 2 girls behind the counter. One was "helping" us while the other one spoke with her friend about stealing alcohol for the evening. My friend checked in before me and she barely spoke to him only to ask for an ID, then to almost throw the keys at him. When it was my turn I asked it there was an available room near them. She grunted something at me then handed me keys. She didn't explain anything about the location of the rooms or anything about the hotel. So we stopped to look at the map ourselves. Our rooms were no where near each other. One was downstairs, the other up stairs on the opposite side.
I was a little annoyed about the proximity to our friends but my husband and I were determined to not let a bad attitude ruin our last night of vacation. As I started to unpack, my husband tried to get the tv on. After 10 minutes of trying we finally called downstairs. The woman he talked to said that the cable had gone out on the entire property and they couldn't get it fixed until the next day. I called our friends to let them know so that they wouldn't keep messing with the TV as well. To my surprise, they informed me that they were watching their TV as we spoke. Confused, I called the front desk again. This time they said it was actually only a couple of rooms that they HAVE been having problems ( so they knew this before we checked in). Being that it was 7 pm and we did not have a car and had no other choice but to stay in the rest of the night, I asked to move to a room that actually had a working TV. She woman was extremely rude and told me she couldn't move us over just a "TV problem" I asked her if they would compensate us in some way for our subpar room. She said she would ask her manager in the morning and as she hung up the phone we heard her say "don't hold your breath".
The manager was not available to speak with me the next morning, surprise, surprise! So not only did I pay full price for very unprofessional service, my husband and I had to watch Netflix on our phones all night, when we could get the wifi to work. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

The motel was so so.

Room was clean but away from where we parked. Had a good breakfast. Was quiet. Was close to Carlsbad Caverns. Advertised pool but was closed for the season. Didn't really see but one employee. Probably wouldn't stay again.
