horrible stay

we stayed in this hotel friday night the 28th of july and checked out on the 29th of july which was a saturday morning. i have worked for the choice hotels for four years and i haev never stayed in one of there hotels that was in the shape this one was. i went to the front desk and complained to the GM and she seemed like what i had to say didnt matter to her. the breakfast wasn't up to code for choice by far. im a breakfast host at a choice hotel and i dont put my food in throw away containers. the orange juice had black stuff in it when u got it out of the machine. my husband walked from the bed to the bathroom and his white socks where no longer white they was black, he then turned on the water to take a shower and there where bugs in the tub. so i complain about that, then the fire alarm was going off all night in the hall way and nobody did anything about that. and if i could of got another hotel closer i sure would of left. but was up there for my mom that was at the cancer center in chicago and this was the closest on we could find that wasnt booked...

Hotel lobby & exterior looks nice, bed & bathroom was ok but carpet inside room looks dirty. Location close to interstate but it seems the area a bit run down. Went out to car around 10.30 pm to get something but saw a security with bullet proof vest on the lobby area. Made me feel uncomfortable and couldn't sleep well at night. I wasn't familiar with the area and traveling with 2 kids. For your peace of mind, probably better pick some other locations. Nothing happens and feel grateful. Just spend a night because in transit. There's indoor swimming pool and breakfast included.

We always stay here ( because this the closest) , This time , we were disappointed. We came in for a funeral. We stayed Friday and Saturday night, I then asked to have the room cleaned, this was Sunday morning. When they finally did clean the room, the sheets were NOT changed. I know this for sure, I had cut my finger and had a paper cut, which did bleed on the sheets. So that how I knew that sheets were not changed. Come on , we paid enough to pay for the water to clean the sheets after two days. We checked out on Monday morning.I would of wrote this review sooner. But I had to wait at least 4 months to write another review.

Pleasenly surprise - Good Value

I was looking for a place to stay a night with my family just outside of Chicago. It was 1 in the morning and we needed to find a place to sleep. I first checked out Comfort Inn but they were booked so we ended up heading over to Econolodge. We were pleasantly surprised. The room, including the bathroom was clean and acceptable and the beds were very comfortable. Nothing fancy, just nice. The continental breakfast was pretty decent.

Best of all, the Room with two double beds, WiFi and Continental breakfast was only $94.00. Would definitely stay again and maybe even use the pool.

Great service. Great stay.

Carmen and Jackie are the breakfast attendants. They are very nice and friendly and hold pleasant conversation in the morning. They keep the breakfast area clean and well stocked at all times and are very accommodating. The front desk staff is super helpful and have no problem getting things straightened out. the housekeepers work really well and ensure that you have everything that you need.Very family and kid friendly. I will most definitely come back.
