What People are saying
What I needed and not what I'd feared
CatalogingExecutiveon 01/08/2017 05:04I was not expecting to need a room that night, but there I was at 8:30 on a Saturday night needing a room when few were available on the Savannah Highway. I was expecting the worst, especially after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor and after talking to a (completely unhelpful) clerk at the desk of a nearby motel. But the Quality Inn was exactly what I needed: clean, comfortable, and cooled (by a powerful A/C), with free Wifi. My comforter was a crisp white with a green throw across the bottom. There was a big recliner that looked relatively new. I saw no insects, but even if I had, I would've blamed the 900% humidity of SC in July, and not the hotel management. Had I stayed longer, I might have taken advantage of the mini fridge, or the TV, or the free breakfast. There were mini water bottles in the room, and they offered me a bottle at my checkout. And they were so incredibly nice, especially the night clerk, when I was trying to keep calm about my desperate situation. If I were needing to stay in that part of Charleston again, I would definitely consider staying here again.
Comfortable and clean!
TildieLouon 13/04/2017 23:08This is a motor inn, very handy for unloading the car. The room was comfortable. The refrigerator came in handy. The bed was great and we slept well! The staff was very helpful. It's about a 10 minute drive right into the historic district.
Worst place ever, rude staff
Sue Hon 05/07/2016 13:26A hole in the wall, outdated, no pool and a rude staff. Booked my husband there when he was stuck there over 4th of July, he said they were rude, the room was old and musky, no pool, just a little place, save your money go down the road
Entitiled manager with TOO much power!
Ashley Gon 22/06/2016 07:42went to this property as i have 2/ 3 times before. All 3 times I've used a LFF rate (friends and family) I drive from greenville to see family. My cousin gets me her LFF discount. This day my rate was $39, booked and reserved it, but management changed my rate up to 69.99. Front desk said per his boss he couldn't honor LFF. Had this been my first time here i would understand but this being our 4th time at this same property, it just didn't make any sense. All other times I NEVER had any problems and have used LFF rate ALL TIMES! all front desk could say was sorry but its managements decision. I didn't receive any calls about rate change or emails from management. I drove 3 hours out of town, had to pay the rate change because I had no other choice I was out of town. Even his front desk said they thought it was wrong! choice couldn't do anything about it because they are privately owned. rooms aren't even great but it was close to family and LFF. when your staff even agrees that it's wrong but says they cant do anything about it it's just sad.
MANAGERERS NAME:
VIBHASH PATEL & USHA PATEL
WILL NEVER SPEND MONEY HERE AGAIN! Karma is something serious
Filthy
Raleigh788on 17/04/2016 12:07This was as a last resort as I had accidentally made reservations at my original hotel for the wrong dates. Upon arrival room had old musty smell. There was hair in the bed, the bathtub was backed up and didn't drain well, the bathroom light switch was broken and would not turn off. The icing on the cake though was a bag of chips, with several chips laying underneath the bedskirt next to the bed itself. Obviously Housekeeping is not thoroughly cleaning. DO NOT STAY HERE.
