Judy Pon 17/08/2017 22:00In the area for a couple weeks of ministry and chose to stay here. The Patel family (owners), very nice people. The front desk clerk Holly and the housekeepers very friendly and helpful. Mrs Patel, went out of her way to help my husband when he had taken ill, by providing soup for him. Other than the noise from the highway traffic our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.
Clean Sheets and hot shower
Les Eon 29/09/2016 00:15What more could you ask for when on the road but a motel with comfortable room and a hot shower. The Econo Lodge offered just what I needed, considering it was 9 pm when I checked in. The check-in was prompt but I did have to ask for the senior discount. They did have a free newspaper, the USA Today.
The room was very comfortable with a microwave and refrigerator. A coffee pot in the room would have been nice but there was a breakfast room available at 6 AM, where they had regular and decaf coffee. They also had a waffle maker and muffins. All complementary, of course.
Better than most
John Hon 05/09/2016 19:59Econo Lodges are not usually my motel of choice, but my friend made the reservation because they were the cheapest in Vincennes. As Econo Lodges go this one wasn't bad. Our room looked as if it was redone not too long ago with fresh paint and new walls in the bathroom. The room was clean, there was a 'fridge and microwave. Free wifi was virtually useless....took 15 minutes to log in and then was so slow I gave up trying to use it. Free breakfast was typical Econo Lodge so we ate at a mom & pop downtown.
Business
Judy Pon 19/07/2016 17:41We stayed at this motel a year ago and said we would not return, but because we needed lodging for a week and they had the best rate, we chose here again. A big mistake. Upon arrival, before I could get out of the car, there was a stranger (man) standing outside the front office, staring me down. I got out and waited for my husband to exit the car, and this person STOOD there with smirky smiles at me. We went inside to check in, he followed us in, and eased drop on our conversation with the desk clerk. He heard what our room number was, and when we got around to the room, he was there. We returned to the front desk to get a non-smoking room and this pervert came back around also. We made a complaint and was told he was the grounds keeper. Didn't see him for a couple of days, then on Sunday he was there, and watched my every move while I was outside at the car. I told the manager I did not like the fact I felt I was being stalked and if it continued I was going to take action and call the State Police. We checked out on day five and moved to a safer environment in another town. Because we checked out earlier, they changed the rate on us and did not get back what we was suppose to. Suspicious activity went on next door to us on Saturday night. They apparently broke things in the room as management was in there the morning we checked out repairing the place. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY AT THIS PLACE. They rent to anyone. And you never know who your neighbor is. The internet in the business center was down, because they let some jerk destroy it.
Clean room, but very noisy, and needs updating. Kind staff! Best price in area.
b_none55on 08/06/2016 17:06We arrived here at about 9AM after traveling for about 15 hours straight. We went In and asked them for a room, and they let us check in. They were very kind, and the room was by far and above the cheapest in the area, and we were so very grateful to have a place to unpack and relax before the rest of our day.
This is in a good location if you want to see downtown and many of the local museums, but it is LOUD! There are vehicles that scream by at all hours of the day and well into the night and next morning, so be forewarned.
The room itself was clean, but needed oh so much updating. There were spackles over the holes in the walls, and cracks too. Patches here and there, and just needed an overhaul. Not normally what one expects from a decent motel, but like I said, our room was clean.
Okay, on to their breakfast. Clearly this place was not designed to have breakfast, but it was set up to compete with other local hotel/motels. There is a small space within the front office set up with a waffle iron, coffee, a jar of peanut butter and a jumbo container of syrup. That is breakfast. Better than nothing, but just enough to be called breakfast too.
So, if you want the cheapest price, nice staff, and don't mind noise and a few sacrifices, this is the place. Other than that, you should choose another place to stay. Oh yeah, and the Internet is slower than Christmas, but it does exist.
