Not a bad hotel for the price
garyaverill1on 13/06/2017 00:14Stayed their five days. The Wi Fi had some major issues but the room had a refrigerator and microwave. The room had a small table and two beds. The room met my needs. The view was of other hotels. The area is quiet so not a lot of traffic noise on my side. The other side is the freeway side but I was not on that side. The pool was nice. The morning breakfast was not bad. You have to ask for an iron and ironing board but they are available. For the price you are paying, this is a great hotel.for those who do not have a lot of money. This hot is a little out of the way if you do not have a car.

The breakfast was good, although I wish that I had microwaved the biscuits. The staff was very friendly. And, for a budget hotel, the bed was very comfortable.
Good for a 1 night stay
kf7ezon 14/05/2017 04:58Good for a 1 night stop over. Staff was very pleasant. Room was bit run down. Strange odor in hallway. Didn't feel safe using laundry facility, there is a sitting room outside of the laundry room with guys drinking.
March stay in Ames
cjeastnon 05/04/2017 22:05Very clean room. Staff was always friendly and welcoming. Close to restaraunts and main streets through town. Liked having laundry available. Only thing I would have liked was a workout area or at least a treadmill.

williamhU6064HQon 01/04/2017 20:58We have made a point to stop in Ames every year when returning from west. The lodge is fine and we enjoy the Mexican restaurant down the road. Friendly staff, clean rooms and adequate morning breakfast.
