Wonderful Lodging
274robertamon 07/08/2017 21:43Econo Lodges can be a hit or miss. This is definitely a hit. Very clean. The weather was cool enough to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air. Fell asleep on the sitting room sofa, spent most of the night right there! Plenty of hot water, even with a full house. Easy to find off I-96. Malls and "big box" shopping all along 28th street. Same for dining.
Weekend trip
mom2mike828on 06/08/2017 02:32The room was average, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Was ok for the price. However, the only complaint I have was that the small sink by the coffee pot was plugged when I tried to wash my face, it filled up quickly and it took a long time to go down.
Awesome value
ppax86on 26/07/2017 21:20Very well kept and clean. Large spacious room with separate living room. Great service, above average free breakfast. I always comes back to this place when in Grand Rapids. Very short and easy driver to Devos center. Highly recommend!
Fantastic Stay
nashrockson 18/07/2017 05:07I stayed at this property first in August 2016. July 2017 was my 2nd stay at this property. This time, I was even further impressed, hereby granting it an extra star this time.
The rooms at this hotel are HUGE, especially when you consider the price for this hotel. Even if the rates are at their maximum, it is a fantastic deal for how much space you do get.
The bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The wifi was still great. Breakfast was pretty standard but no complaints there. I also enjoyed that there's a bird feeder right outside one of the windows in the breakfast area. I got to eat my breakfast while watching birds eat theirs which added to the experience.
The complaint I had last time was about the walls being thin in regards to plumbing. While I do not know if the hotel did any improvements since my last stay, I did NOT have any problems whatsoever this time. It was a completely quiet stay.
While I tend to be loyal to a different group owner of hotel chains for all my other trips, this is the hotel for me in the Grand Rapids area.
Best Econo Lodge Ever
mauiwolfon 17/07/2017 03:22Econo Lodge hotels are usually horrible. This was great. The rooms were beautiful. The beds were super comfy. The breakfast room was clean and organized.
The only downer for me was being able to hear the neighbor take a shower. It woke me up, so wearing ear plugs might be an option. Also, the front desk staff had a hard time communicating.
