interesting stay

Compared to when we stayed here 3 years ago to be close to the arena the hotel has gone downhill. The beds are comfortable and it's nice to have a fridge and microwave available but there is no security in the building anymore. Last time after dark only the front door was open and the other entrances were locked. Now the locks are broken on the other doors and there were what appeared to be homeless sleeping in the hallways when we left for the arena in the morning. very uncomfortable stay. We will not be back to this hotel even thought the price is fair.

the experience was a bit rough, but expected for the price

we slept good. the beds were decent. the neighborhood was a bit scary. the hotel needs fresh paint, updates and some tlc. but the staff was very friendly, helpful too. breakfast was a bit unusual. i felt safe, but i probably wont return. ill spend a little more money and get a nicer place. wifi was excellent. no issues. the tv was dim. we could not figure out how to turn up the brightness as the menu had no options on the tv. there was a microwave and fridge. experience was a bit odd, but we didnt pay much either. if you have a family, id suggest somewhere else. it was a good place to,save some money though. our experience was not bad, just not exactly what we expected.

disgusting

We needed a cheap place to stay that was close to the arena so this was really the only place. You definitely got what you paid for here. Bad lighting in the bathrooms, poor quality of the tv, smoky hallways, doors getting stuck. I wasn't expecting much and that's good because we didn't get much.

Positive Experience

I am a professional who stayed at Econo Lodge for 4 nights and truly enjoyed myself. The room I had was clean and had nice décor. There was a fridge and microwave. For the price of $42 a night I was not expecting this. The front desk staff was honest. Bob returned my $50 bill when I accidently gave him an extra one. The staff was willing to get me breakfast even when I got up late and everything was already put away. I felt they were like family while I was away from home. True, the place is not in an upscale neighbourhood but I am quite familiar with the homeless population. I did not see any hookers, addicts, or smell drugs inside this motel as others talk about. I had a positive experience here.
