What People are saying

I do not recommend

ftlls411on 25/04/2017 03:29

Needed a place to stay and it was late. Room smelly and dirty. Did not shower as did not want to use dirty bath tub. No outdoor trash barrels so there were coffee cups on the curb. The rooms were non smoking but outside the rooms everyone smoked and there were butts all over, ugh

Cheap clean room

We stayed here again and found it to be about the same as before. Maybe a little bit cleaner this time. It isn't the greatest, but for what you pay here and its proximity to both Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island, you can't beat it.

Worst Experience I have every had!

BrnEydGrl66on 02/12/2016 14:28

I was traveling with a small pet so I received a pet room. It was the most disgusting room I have ever been in. I would have left but I was exhausted from traveling many hours in Thanksgiving weekend traffic.
I do not have enough space to list the things that were wrong. I actually left immediately and bought some disinfecting wipes at the Dollar store next door, before doing anything and I am not real picky. I have traveled all over the world, including AFRICA, and things were more sanitary believe it or not! The clock was broken, the tub was clogged, the toilet seat was broken, debris all over the floor, q-tips on the bathroom floor, lamp shade stained, greasy fingerprints everywhere, filthy door (was actually black before i cleaned it and it was white), curtain hanging, worst mattress to sleep on, dirty walls... I can go on and on! Yes, I had a small pet but should not be subjected to a room like that. I even paid EXTRA. This is my FIRST review ever, as I just never bother, but this was so horrendous I had to post. I am hoping other rooms are not as bad. I did not stay for breakfast since I could not sleep so left at 5am! One positive not was the front desk person was very nice and opened the door for me since my key did not work. She was apologetic and polite.

Last time for sure this time

Stayed Oct 22nd & 23rd 2016.We won't again.Tried to get my hubby to change hotels, but he didn't want the hassle. Stunk right when we opened the door. Could not get in from the end doors with our keys, so had to go through the front lobby. Room stunk, even after spraying air freshener. Vent in bathroom didn't work & curtain rod looked like it was about to fall. Smelled moldy and another odor I couldn't quite make out. There was a dirty cup and an apple under the bed. Only thing that seemed decent was the breakfast. Planning another trip next month, but will not be staying here.

Evacuation from Hurricane Matthew

There are 8 people from Jekyll Jekyll Island, Georgia who have been in this hotel 4 days and will be here for at least one more until Jekyll opens up. The hotel has gone the extra mile to take care of us. The housekeeping staff never missed a beat. They stayed on duty right through the hurricane. The front desk was under great pressure with so many people trying to flee the storm but Crystal was a star. She never lost her cool and managed to do the very best she could. Guests were trying to check out while others couldn't leave as scheduled. What a nightmare Crystal faced. As an employer, I would be proud to have her and the housekeeping staff work for me. Also, there were a great many families with pets and the hotel made every room "pet friendly " with no extra fee. 5 stars to this hotel!
