I'm a local and not much good comes out of the Econo Lodge. Drug busts happens a few times a year here with the most recent a meth lab. This hotel has been around for awhile and is on a busy street that during prime hours of the day is hard to get in and out of the driveway. Enter at your own risk.

Second time here, WILL return....

We booked this for July 3-July 5th as we live 3 hrs from MHC and the last time we stayed here, it was a positive experience.

We asked for a room on the back side so it would be super quiet and away from all traffic. This hotel is off the beaten track anyway, so this suited us well.

The mattress was a nice surprise...we are spoiled at home, so we carry a queen-size foam pad for hotels just in case! There was no need for it at this place, so that earned them their 1st star!

We wanted to save a little on money, so we decided to give the "free b'fast bar" a try....and that worked out so nicely, they earned another star! Love those bagels with sour cream and the half & half for my coffee! Sweet!

We were very pleased by the quietness of our room and the ability to control the a/c just right. We always bring our own shower nozzle, so the shower was fine regardless of the existing nozzle.

The room, bed, bathroom, dressing area, etc., were immaculate & we noticed they installed laminate floors since our last visit here in 2013! Fantastic upgrade!

I'd have to say that with the PRICE, location, security, cleanliness and comfort of the Econo Lodge, the icing on the cake was CAROL at the front desk! She really made our stay much better than it would have been otherwise!

For her sake, however, I do hope the maintenance dept. fixes the front door to the lobby so that it will actually CLOSE & STAY CLOSED properly! If I had to rank that person on here I'd give them 1/2 star...I hate laziness!

So, I'd have to say we both enjoyed everything about our 2nd stay here so for that...I gave them their 3rd star!

Special thanks to CAROL for the huge favor she did for us which she did not have to do at all! What a terrific employee she is!

We both will stay here on our 3rd visit, but we normally only go to MHC once every 3 years.

No hot water!

Our company put us here at the Econolodge for approximately a week. First of all if you have a pet they will put you in a smoking room not matter if you smoke or not. Also, if you have a pet you can not stay more than a week. Secondly and most importantly there is no hot water! Apparently the hot water heaters are going to be replaced soon. I was told that the second floor rooms rarely have hot water. I asked to be moved another room but they didn't have any other pet friendly rooms available. If you choose to stay here leave your pets at home and don't expect a hot shower. This place is terrible and so is our company that chose to put us here!

How do I start? Keys didn't work, after 2 times at the reception, "oh that takes a real key, sorry". Make entrance into room, big let down. Dirty floors, musty smell, run down furniture, should have left right then. Ready to jump in the shower, no towels! Call the front desk, towels being cleaned none available. Will bring them to you when next batch cleaned. Bathroom floor dirty, tiles chipped, extremely outdated tub. Tub hot knob fell off in my hands. Overall, terrible experience, pictures on its website are an extreme exaggeration and not a true representation of the room that I stayed in.

bad house keeping black mold in bath room was moved to a another that was a little..better some one was not up on our job... will not stay again needs a lot a up dates.no pool or anything for kids good luck with your stay may your stay will be batter than my stay.....
