I transferred here because a major event in town prevented me booking my previous hotel at a reasonable rate, and my budget was almost spent. This Econo Lodge is nothing special, in fact, I was torn between a rating of 2 and 3.5 (for the staff's willingness to work with me).

The hotel is situated directly off a busy street so I did get a little noise, and the narrow lane meeting angled parking spaces made parking a bit tricky, but at least you can park right at your door. The office staff (really just one person) argued with me when I told them I had found a better rate online, but I suppose between the time I looked and the time I arrived they had filled up a little. In any case, she told me the only room left was one with a jacuzzi, thus the increased rate. I really didn't care about this amenity and promised her I wasn't going to use it, so she finally offered a lower rate. Meaning they wouldn't have to clean it? Kind of standard to clean the whole room after each guest. Anyway, I kept my promise and did not use the jacuzzi.

The room was large and clean but smelled like stale cigarettes, even though it was non-smoking. Probably baked into the walls before the non-smoking changeover. The bed was large but a little stiff, still fairly comfortable. One of the lamps either had a burnt-out bulb or was plugged into a socket that didn't work. I tried everything but couldn't figure it out. No issues with water pressure or temp., but the heater was very noisy and looked like it hadn't been dusted out in ages.

Overall, this really isn't a bad place to stay for a few nights as long as you know what to expect.

Large rooms

We stay in lots of hotels. This was the biggest room, we have encountered! The room had 2 full size beds, with lots of space to walk around in room! The continental breakfast is skimpy! The room was clean with no odors!!

Good place to stay

Was passing through looking for a clean, comfortable and inexpensive room. We got just that. Nothing fancy but they got the basics right. Breakfast options could be expanded, but otherwise a decent place to stay.

Unfriendly desk staff and uncomfortable bed.

This seems like a family run hotel. I booked on points and was promised an upgrade.....to what? I stay at a lot of hotels and really feel this was near the bottom of the list.
Breakfast was horrible and really just a carb collection.

Overnight Stay

We asked for two non-smoking rooms but received rooms where someone definitely smoked before. Otherwise place is ok. Has laundry. Quiet place to stay. Showers need to be cleaner and better. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was basic. Don't expect much.
