What People are saying

Good Cheap Hotel Room

wcp3on 11/05/2017 13:47

My room always a 1-bed king. The room was clean, and the bed and bedding were comfortable. The towels and washcloth were low quality and not very soft.

The furniture and room room looked worn and tired. The bathroom was very dated. There was visible cracking on the wall. Even though the tv was an HD tv, it had only a old, low-quality signal.

The breakfast included waffles and cereal, which were great for me.

The hotel is under renovations, so I expect the room issues will likely be addressed.

I stopped to get a room last night coming from Florida and we have a dog we go to the room and it looked like the bedspread was thrown on the bed and the floor was so nasty I would not stay in that room, it also smelled so bad like mold it also looked like it had been vomited on many times so I go tell the attendant and she offered another room which was just as bad. This is the worst econolodge I have ever seen.

Room given away during hurricane Matthew after receiving confirmation

poolema1on 12/10/2016 19:28

I booked a room on Tuesday, 10/04/16 on Hotel.com due to hurricane Matthew and when I called Econolodge before leaving on Thursday to confirm the appt. the first rep said he couldn't find my reservation, but to still come because it would be ok since I had my printed reservation number. Got on the road and called again and the next rep also could not find my name or reservation number, but stated he had one more room left he could give me if I stayed 5 days and not less! I was with my daughter on the road almost to the hotel in Forsyth at this point. He said there was nothing else he could do! I called Hotel.com and they confirmed that I did indeed have a room reserved and called Econolodge only to call me back telling me they could not find a reservation! Hotel.com tried to find me another room in Georgia, but nothing was available. I am angry at the fact the I KNOW that they gave my room away and better yet did not allow me and my daughter to have the room that WAS available since I couldn't stay 5 days! This isn't a resort!!! I had to turn around and head back to Savannah. By the grace of God my daughter and I returned home safely. Anyone who would take advantage of quick money on a first come first serve basis when it is already reserved to someone else, while not arriving late, is cruel and does not deserve any business from anyone. Glad I did not waste my money on this hotel

It's ok

I have stayed at this hotel several times. I attended classes in Forsyth Georgia and I do not want to stay on campus so I found this hotel. I pay about 138.00 a week from Sunday night to Friday morning. The rooms are clean water is hot. It does need updating. The is a smell of some type of Indian food in hallways. I overlook it. I just stay here for class. Good wifi. There is a Mexican Resturant next door that is good. A lot of police officers stay here. It's ok

WORST MOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN, PERIOD!

CuteDrummergirlon 04/06/2016 21:56

My friend was the one that booked this place sight unseen. We live in Florida and were going to a spiritual retreat in Forsyth, Ga. We were on a budget, so she picked a budget motel to stay for 4 nights. We got there late at night and the guy at front desk figured saw we were exhausted, females and would not complain if he unloaded this dump of a room on us. I opened the door and this GOD AWFUL combination smell of MILDEW, MOLD and burnt plastic slapped me in the face, I had sinus congestion, and could STILL smell this TOXIC odor. That horrible toxicity got into my lungs and we could both taste it on our mouths. The boxspring was stained and the cheap mattress (if you want to call it that) was thin and HARD as a ROCK! Well, my friend went to the front desk and told the guy we were NOT going to stay in THAT DISGUSTING GAS CHAMBER. (my words) He was upset as he realized he would not be able to unload that depressing, disgusting, toxic dump of a room. He preceeded to walk with us and show us another room. The 2nd room was not AS bad smelling, but still reeked of OLD, MILDEW & MOLD, and was very dark & depressing. We told him sorry, but NO WAY were we going to stay in another toxic smelling, depressing, damp, inferior quality room. We are both Health Proffesionals and honestly thought we would get very ill or end up with a respiratory infection in that horrible gas chamber breathing in MOLD Spores, MILDEW and whatever else smelled horrible. The Hallway had bubbling and peeling paint from severe water damage. When I tried to explain this to him, he just got angry, dismissed everything AND charged my girlfriend for 1 night, because I had checked corner of bed for bed bugs and used the bathroom! We ended up down the street at Days Inn. It was clean, very basic, but we knew we would not die in the middle of the night from TOXIC FUMES. PLEASE AVOID THIS TOXIC DUMP AT ALL COSTS! I have traveled over 35 years throughout USA & many other countries, this IS WORST DUMP I HAVE EVER SEEN. My friend said the whole building should be condemned, and I agree.
