Top Notch! Pleasant Surprise!
Karena Fon 03/05/2017 14:58For years we've travelled quite often. This is our 1st review and that's simply because this location is the 1st in this price range that has earned an "exemplary! kudos! bravo! from us.
Upon entering and again the next morning the staff was friendly, the room was super clean, quiet, amenities were simple yet very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable and the grounds were exquisite. And, there were no loiterers!
Hands down, we recommend this location. And we've got it bookmarked for future road trips. Yep, it's just that nice.
Overrated Reviews
Jelykaon 21/04/2017 04:53First of all, I do not understand the 2 1/2 star rating. It's an Econo Lodge! Secondly as for other 4 and 5 reviews, I'm confused. It is clean, comfortable and priced appropriately what you get. There is no elevator, the parking is crammed together, the decor and fixtures are basic. In our room, the sink would not seal and you could not fill it with water. As mentioned in other reviews, turning on the shower needs instructions to operate which we were not given. When we inquiredat the desk, a faucet was pulled out to demonstrate. This tells me that this is a reoccurring problem. Breakfast was nothing to get excited about. It is a step above a continental breakfast. As is often said, you get what you pay for, not the exceptional that some reviews imply.
Hidden gem
anthonyi118on 20/04/2017 21:23Nice and quiet gem just off of the interstate. Muhammad at the front desk is always cheerful and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the morning and always a nice selection.
Best place I've stayed in awhile !!
TrueTexasBelleon 13/04/2017 05:23Brand new pillow top mattresses, beautiful clean linens, carpet seemed new as well, bath had new tile and whole room seemed recently updated. There was a nice Deluxe Continental Breakfast with hot sausage links, biscuits and sausage gravy, waffle maker, and of course the regular cereal, juice, coffee, milk, toast, jelly, muffins, donuts, etc etc...oh and fresh bananas and Cuties oranges :) I got a suite type room for the lowest price and if I had been staying awhile it would have been awesome...Non smoking room was a true non smoking room - we are both very sensitive to that...Staff was friendly, engaging, fun, helpful and seemed sincerely interested in my trip and experiences...we will be traveling this route quite often and this is definitely our Stay Spot !! See ya when the grambebe arrives !! L
A Diamond in the Rough
bemystic11on 01/04/2017 14:37We stayed one night on our way back to Dallas from New York. Wanted a motel on south side of Little Rock to avoid rush hour traffic next morning. Reviews on this little motel were surprisingly good and the price was better than I've seen for most no-frills motels in our travels. It's small, located in an industrial area where there is no apparent shopping or restaurants nearby except for fast food. Sits back from road so don't see it as you come off the exit ramp. Despite that, it's a little gem, beginning with Mohammed, the on-duty front desk associate. He was warm and welcoming. We are seniors and when we discovered our room was on second floor (no elevators and stairs in lobby were steep), we asked for a first floor room. Mohammed was able to accommodate our request. Our room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom, which had been updated. What impressed me were the beds. Most no frills motels have thinner mattresses which tend to be stiff and/or hard. Our mattress was more like a high top, and while firm enough for me, it was very comfortable. I had the best night's sleep I'd had on our entire trip. Water pressure in shower was strong, plenty of nice absorbent towels. We asked for recommendations on restaurants and Mohammed provided us with some, including a sushi restaurant. A trucker behind us in line recommended a place in Benton, AR, about 10 miles away. We made the mistake of going there - Brown's Country Store and Restaurant. Worst food I've had in a long time! Should have listened to Mohammed! Only complaint was remote control on TV is old - does not have facility for closed captioning, which I need because of hearing impairment. This is an older property , not a beauty queen, but definitely solid comfort. Thanks to Mohammed and the wonderful bed, I will remember this place!
