Mildew Room
Debbie Bon 12/07/2017 19:40We were passing through on a cross country trip. The hotel was booked up and were grateful we had a reservation. Our room smelled very mildewed when we opened the door. After running the air for a hew hours it seemed to let up some but was still very strong. Inside seemed like it could use a facelift. We didn't check out the breakfast since we left early to get on the road. Rates were great and front desk staff very friendly.
I was mislead by "Excellent"
Annaree731on 03/07/2017 17:32This hotel was fine, but I wouldn't give it "Exceptional" nor "Excellent". The room was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom door didn't shut completely, the front door didn't open the correct way (we had to have someone from the front desk come show us how to get in), and the only hot item on the breakfast menu were the waffles. HOWEVER, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, the service was fabulous, the breakfast was complimentary and very good. I would stay there again, because of the positive attributes I mentioned, but I would know I couldn't eat eggs for breakfast😉
Plus and minuses
Rez Con 30/06/2017 03:09Although this is going to sound like a negative review, it really isn't. Customer service was great. The breakfast area is small and holds about 12 people. Selection was satisfactory. The only problems I had was a dirty coffee pot, dirty coffee basket and a dirty ceiling fan. I did not make coffee in my room as a result but coffee was available at the front desk. It was too hot to just use the ceiling fan so I ended up using the cooler. The motel is right along the Interstate but it wasn't noisy. I felt safe and the bed was comfy. Pictures were shown upon check out and management was very apologetic and thanked me for bringing deficiencies to their attention.
What it lacks in updates it excels in customer service!
Lanette Won 21/06/2017 04:14My Aunt/Uncle arrived in town a day before we did and booked this location, partially because they were traveling with a dog. I am traditionally cautious of Econo Lodge locations (due to previous experience), but gladly took my room across the lot. I was surprised at the condition of the room. It was neat, clean, had all requirements and served our needs well. It is partially updated, but could clearly stand a few more touches to help kick it up a notch. We enjoyed our stay enough that we returned 9 days later and stayed 2 additional nights prior to flying back out of Albuquerque.
Across the road is Rudy's, a really good barbecue; casual but inviting.
It is conveniently located right off I-40. The continental breakfast was as expected, but suitable for our needs, as always, I'd love more gluten free options for myself.
The front desk staff and housekeepers were all very friendly and helpful!
Thanks for the pleasant surprise. And thanks for adding to a great 11-day trip with my Aunt and Uncle!
Excellent Customer Service
ciaocheerson 19/06/2017 05:39This motel was on our list to check out when we arrived in Albuquerque on a Fri afternoon for a one night stay on our Route 66 road trip. However, at the I 40 off ramp (1/2 block from the motel) our car had major mechanical problems. We decided to stay the night and have the car towed to the Chrysler dealership next morning. We did not get the car back until 8:30 Wed evening. Brian, the manager, and Francisco, who checked us in, as well as housekeeping and other staff were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and accommodating—helping to make an unpleasant experience better. The motel is very clean and comfortable. The waffles were really good. Great customer service and good value for the money. Highly recommend.
