Good spot just outside the heart of Nashville
Echolynnon 17/05/2017 14:38Econo Lodge north is a great spot for anyone needing a stop over on their way to or from Nashville, or anyone who is looking to stay for a few days and experience Nashville without all the headaches of downtown traffic. It's conveniently located and easy to get to where you're going within the city. The hotel appears to have recently undergone a renovation, and the rooms seem to have been freshened up nicely because of this. One feature I liked, even though some might see it as dated, was the soap/shampoo/body lotion dispensers in the bathroom. I thought it was very convenient and a great way to cut down on waste from tiny hotel samples. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well, and when a storage unit nearby caught on fire, filling the outside air with acrid smoke, we didn't once smell it inside our unit. Overall, I liked this location and the renovated rooms a good bit. I am rating this location as very good because, for a standard roadside motel, I thought it was pretty nice.
Get What You Pay For
GemmaStewon 04/05/2017 13:38It is obviously not the most fancy hotel but the rooms were clean and big which is all you require if you are there to explore Nashville, I was barely even in the hotel when I was in Nashville. The location is only 10 minutes away in an uber/taxi and not expensive to get to. There are also loads of places to eat around if you are in the area for long and a garage 2 minutes walk away which I stocked up on water from to keep in the room which was handy. Room provides hair dyer and fridge which I didn't expect. Breakfast was fine, toast and cereal but didn't expect anything more for what I paid. Wifi was good as was TV but only used when getting ready in the mornings. Would consider staying again.
Only a $12 Uber to downtown Nashville
Colleen Con 28/04/2017 20:35We wanted to stay downtown but that was too costly so we found this hotel and Ubered downtown, which was only $12, so that's a plus! However, there wasn't much else good to say about this hotel. There is bulletproof glass at the front desk, which was offputting. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a gallon of milk and a stick of butter in a mini fridge, with one loaf of white bread and 2 kinds of cereals out of a jar. Also prepackaged pastries. Room was cleaned, but had many longterm stains and just needed a bit of an update. For the price, it wasn't bad and I felt like the area was safe despite the bulletproof glass, but maybe I am wrong.
Real hesitant about staying again
Clay_Vison 23/04/2017 04:36First off, we do not typically stay at places like this, but this was the only place available for when we needed. The positive: very friendly staff! Everyone we encountered was very nice and polite! Although it was in a sketchy location, it was a quick drive to downtown. The negatives: it was located in a sketchy area. Trucks were parking overnight and there were lots of sketchy people walking up and down the area. We were in a non-smoking room (2nd floor) and you could smell the smoke from the 1st floor seeping up into the room. We ended up going to Wal-Mart nearby to buy a candle to burn to help with the scent. The hotel is very dated. Although we didn't need any, there were no individual bottles of soap, shampoo, or hand soap. They are all in very odd dispensers. The towels were terribly hard and left lint all over your body. Overall you get what you pay for which isn't much.
Good value for money
Marjon Von 22/04/2017 00:37Stayed one night in a double to visit Downtown Nashville, only a short drive away. Room and bathroom was clean. Quite neighbourhood, we had a good rest. Nice manager at the desk in the morning. Breakfast is adequate but limited in choices.
