What People are saying

very dirty.

NarelleBrownon 29/07/2017 18:47

I'm never one to complain, as I'm easty pleased, however this place was not clean in slightest & that's all I personally ever expect at least. I was here for a hen night, staying with the bride to be. First thing I was welcomed to was kids running around the hallway shouting etc, perfectly fine as kids will be kids! I then walked up 2 flights of stairs, one set which are very narrow with a very loose bannister hanging off the wall. I then got to the room & the door couldn't open fully for the "wardrobe" that couldn't fit a pair of shoes in, I had my case so I kept my things in that. The room is very small. I noticed that the carpets were very dirty & I also noticed the stains and marks and loads of dust on the bed side tables, the walls ( which were half painted too ), the door had clearly had a hole put into which was covered up with very light brown paint. The light on the ceiling had nothing covering it & the bed side light has cob webs and hotels and stains on it. After coming back from our night out we head straight to bed & was awakened by kids running about the halls, screaming and shouting and slamming the doors (that are very squeaky). That plus a very hard bed which has given me a sore neck & back.

If you like to pay over the price for something I would class as a 1 * hotel then this is perfect for you. However I didn't like paying £80 for this when we could have got somewhere cleaner for the same price or less!

Do not stay here!!!

This is not a hotel it is a hostel and very basic. Breakfast is cereal at £8! TV didn't work in my room which had a bathroom on the floor below. Having asked if they had parking for motorcycles over the phone and told yes, on arrival we were told it would be best to put them in the garden as some had been stolen recently. A truly horrible experience from start to finish.

Basic

To describe this place as a hotel is a bit extreme. For a start the reception is in the "dining hall" which consisted of 4 or 5 tables and a few cereals for breakfast. Breakfast was not included in the rate and it did not seem worth it to pay for a small selection of cereals, toast and some fruit. The Wi-Fi was shocking although they had multiple servers to connect to we had to pay for the Wi-Fi to get any sort of signal and it was very slow. The lights in our bedroom appeared connected to the lights in the hall when one would turn off ours would go off aswell. The walls were paper thin and even a conversation from the room next door was beard loud and clear. The reception was only open during the day meaning we didn't even check out we just abandoned our keys on a hall table. Location wise it was a bit of a walk into town and I wouldn't stay here again.

DO NOT STAT HERE!!

We stayed here two night and hadn't seen any reviews prior to our stay...here is the list of horrors after day 1 (we leave tomorrow or we would check out)

1. Beds are very hard
2. Mold in shower
3. Loud at night: pathway of pub closures =awake at 4am
4. You have to pay for internet; we had to PROVE we already paid
5. When we arrived early, we planned to sight see prior to check in, my husband asked to use the bathroom. The counter person told him there was a public restroom down the street! Really!! We found it inside the building and used it anyway
6. It is very unkept building - ex: windowsill looks like it may come apart if I open/close window

I REPEAT...do not stay here!!

Ok

Staying here at the moment for business, was concerned at the negative posts but i must say its not bad, (well my room isnt)
Twin ensuite, little bit small but bedding is clean and bathroom spotless, room walls are a bit thin, meaning if someone talks next door you can hear there conversation, onstreet parking isnt to bad, ive always been able to get a spot, dont do breakfast so cant comment, the television in the room is in such a position that only one person in a twin room could watch it
