Was a good first impression!
rizkyhafizanon 27/07/2017 20:06Hello dear traveler! It was my first experience staying in a bunkbed or hostel but not my first time visiting the gorgeous city Yogyakarta. Me, as a backpacker looking for a cheap place to stay is a must thing. So, i was traveling to Yogyakarta this March and i decided to find a bunkbed the i found Edu Hostel. First in my mind i was afraid to book this hostel because i haven't any experience yet but it was totally different, Edu Hostel Jogja gave me a great first experience of staying in Bunkbed or a hostel. Well first is very cheap, it doesn't look like a hostel or bunkbed hotel, the frontliner and staffs are very friendly, the breakfast is fine, mostly it's amazing! I will post the complete review very soon on my blog mrhls.blogspot.com, well maybe you guys would love to read it. Once again, in my two days of staying in this hostel i was enjoyed it and i'd love to stay again if i visit Yogyakarta again one day!
Meh
Alexandre Kon 16/07/2017 08:07I spent 3 nights in this hostel and I regret it.
First, don't trust the pictures : the entire hostel looks old and dark, especially at night.
Then, don't trust other people's reviews, cause it definitely doesn't deserve more than 3 stars. It's more like a factory than a hostel. It means, there is a loooooot of people in this place. And consequently it can get really noisy. Don't expect to meet a lot of backpackers, tho.
The wifi is really bad and slow, and you can only get signal in the lobby, not in the rooms.
The breakfast is included but it's disgusting. I won't even talk about the coffee. And you have to wake up before 9:30 if you want a chance to try it. You'd better sleep.
Finally, the location is quite far from the center. But it's ok cause a group of becak drivers will always be at the entrance, waiting to harrass you.
On the other hand, and to be fair, the staff is nice and speaks a really good english.
Everything is really clean as well, from the toilets to the sheets.
But honestly, for the same price you can definitely find a better place, trust me.
Don't get a taxi from the station- you will get ripped off!
LCMP96on 12/07/2017 02:19^^^ it's very much walking distance easy to find and get to.
The hostel itself was nice- great rooms and comfy bunk beds with good lockers, nice breakfast views and free breakfast, great lunches available to order. Amazing sate chicken. The wifi was pretty rubbish. Good aircon.
Some of the receptionists were a lot more helpful than others. We asked one about climbing Mt Bromo and she said there was nothing around to organise it and nowhere near to try and book it. We asked again to a different receptionist later and there were packages offered by the hostel for the whole trip (also would recommend. Great trip)
Ask for a map and get them to explain how to get to places. Very well situated. Just a short walk from the amazing market street - malioboro.
Not much vibe in the hostel but very functional, clean and tidy and quiet
Not really a hostel for travelers, more of an affordable family hotel
Amirah Fon 09/06/2017 21:19I thought the room and space were clean. Although I was expecting a place for travelers, a quite space, a relaxing spot. There were lots of children and families. WIFI was only available in the lobby, which makes things inconvenient for my friend and I. Overall, it was worth the money. But I would recommend other cheap hostels if you're looking for peace, comfort, and full access to things.
No stars for this edu jogja hotel. Better find another hotel. Not really comfortable. A lot of dust in the room.
DEWI Hon 06/03/2017 11:02The bedsheet is so dirty, got so many mite. We ask them to change the bedsheets but they didn't. Cause redness and itchiness on our body. No wifi at room. No big towel. ππΌππΌππΌππΌwe are very very disappointed
