Its ok
Ola Hon 13/03/2017 23:42+ The price for a room is quite good.
+ 32" LCD TV on each room. About 8 TV channels and it got (1)HDMI port,(1)USB port and a 3,5mm minijack out.
+ Good beds, 220x150(ish)
+ Short walking distance into town.
- There isnt a refrigerator on each room, but there's one in the common place on the top floor.
Great hotel based on cost, staff very helpful, undergoing an upgrade.
Gary Bon 18/04/2016 20:58A little tricky to find but it served the our purposes well being a 20 min walk away from the main town area. Hotel undergoing an upgrade which may push prices up which would be a shame. The staff were very helpful and served us free coffee and pancakes. Rooms and bathrooms basic but good for the price paid. An added tip is to walk up the nearby path leading to World War II German fortifications.
nice clean comfy room but well below other hotels in Norway
ross won 18/01/2015 22:09got a late offshore check in and this was the only hotel avalable, arrived at reception and the guy wasn't that happy looking, gave him my name and i was told 790nok, heres your room key and wifi password is on it. I asked him if he could pre book my taxi for 08:30 the following morning
Room was nice and clean and bed was comfy, nice sized TV also. Like most other people i was surprised there was no tea/coffee making facilities and after my shower the floor was soaking wet.
On check out breakfast was good but the worst thing was that despite being told our taxi was booked the girl at reception chased it up and realised that no one had booked it. other guys were waiting for their taxi to arrive and nothing came. the hotel then used their minibus to take the 6 of us to the airport.
No frills - does the job
hungrybbcon 23/10/2014 10:30Facilities: Did not have the "health center" as advertised. The gym room is actually now used as a storage room/dumping ground for the hotel's extra equipment. There's a table tennis table and two large pool tables although the felt on the tables needed refurbishment. I do a 10 minute run into town and join Topgym.
Facilities wise, we were working at the Westcon yard. Not all the rooms are the same. I got a double bed and a fridge which I was thankful for. if you stay, ask for a room with a fridge so you can store your own stuff. There is no kettle in your room and no kettle available in the public areas. Big faux pas because you can't make your own tea for those UK guys like me who like their tea! Buy a travel kettle yourself and any tea and milk! There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers to do your laundry.
Room is clean and bed is nice. Shower is nice and strong but the problem is that water gets all over the floor so you need to use the floor heating. Also it's one of those annoying situations where unless your shower curtain is pulled tight then you are going to douse your toilet roll in your toilet roll holder. I took mine out!
All in all, it's a very no frills place but it's comfy, there's a TV in your room but the absence of tea making facilities lets it down a bit. Plus the coffee left out at night resembles tar. I'll make some nice suggestions to the staff but at least anyone reading this will know to bring their own travel kettle. Friendly staff though.
basic... very basic
Brian Bon 20/09/2013 17:53Had to stay here as very short notice and other hotels were full. Receptionist was helpful and bed wasn't bad but thats only positives.
Went to my room to use the internet but it was so slow it was unusable, then went down to reception to try there but also useless, tried to get a cup of tea but they didn't have any, juice machine was broken so I walked into town (about 20 min walk).
Also the shower soaked the whole bathroom and didn't dry up much at all so had to mop it up with towels.
Wasn't impressed.
