What People are saying
Dire beyond belief. Stay anywhere else.
JeSuisBenRobon 23/04/2017 18:12Honestly the worst place I have ever stayed, be it hotel, hostel, factory accommodation, Airbnb or sleeping on someone's floor.
This place is a complete dive beyond belief. First of all I was given someone else's key and sent on my way to their room. Because I'm honest, I didn't steal everything they had left in there - but I very easily could have.
On returning to reception, I was allocated another room (almost immediately, so I can only presume they knew that I'd been sent to an already-occupied room). The only problem with this was that there was no key for the room, so I was accompanied by a cleaner who used a master key to let me in. My relief on finally getting a room was short lived once the state of it became clear.
Broken sockets with bare wires.
Black mould in the bathroom.
No shower curtain so the entire room gets wet.
No remote control for the TV.
I unfortunately was staying for business and attending a nearby exhibition so had 3 nights there. It took until the 3rd day to actually get my own room key, after much exasperated explanation by my French colleagues.
Please don't be tempted to stay here and save a few Euros. It simply isn't worth it at any price.
egg hotel the real deal
Paul Mon 10/03/2016 20:51came across this recently started brand of lo cost hotels on this trip
basically egg buys up older hotels , or ones with poor location, difficult to access or poor fill rate
the one in gonesse is a 25yrs old ibis on a dead end road near CDG airport that was sold off
everything works but is aged
the staff at the reception jasmine was very friendly
the parking lot asphalt is in disrepair, the access is via a dead end road and is not at all signposted so very tricky to find ( hidden behind a pizza place )
DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL
paddyitbon 01/02/2016 20:21I booked this hotel with free cancellation. When I canceled my booking (6 Months before my stay) I was charged in full.
When I complained about the charged they promised to refund me but a month later I have still not got a refund.
Worst Hotel Experience EVER!!
Andrew9078on 28/10/2014 18:04I travelled with a group of secondary school students from Cork, Ireland from 23rd October to 26th October 2014.
The hotel is supposed to be very easy to find, but we could tell it wouldn't have been as its out in the middle of no where and down an alleyway. The bus driver we had knew where it was as they do tours so he would have known the route, thats the only way we would have got it.
As we walked down the alley to the hotel we all made a comment of how ugly and grotty the hotel was, it looked like it was owned by a 5 year old.
We went inside and were given our rooms.
The first thing that greeted me was the horrible smell of the room. Secondly, my bed sheet had blood stains on it. All of our bed sheets across all the rooms looked and felt like they hadn't been changed in at least a couple weeks.
The staff were also quite rude. My friend spotted a USED CONDOM on our shelf, we told the receptionist who just complained at us for not telling us during the day as he was just finishing work (rather then apologizing and saying that they would sort it out!) eventually we asked his friend who was starting his nightshift to take it out, the SNA (Special Needs Assistant) in our school who came on the trip offered him a plastic bag to take it out, which she had in her hand to which he replied with the sarcastic answer of "No, I will take it out with my teeth".
Breakfast? Its advertised as "Gourmet Breakfast".. I have to laugh at this as we had 3 options.
We could have; A Croissant, A Bread Roll or a bowl of Cornflakes.
Overall:
A poor quality hotel
Tiny horrible rooms
Bad breakfast in the hotel basement
Poor selections of tv channels (all of which are in French)
Rude staff
Other reviewers say it better
MrB1967on 27/10/2014 15:34I needed a last minute Hotel for a few days, (Hotel, read hostel!)
I didn't pay a lot staying here, but probably should have paid more and found somewhere else.
As other reviewers have said, NOBODY can find it - its not even on most GPS under its former owners (IBIS) - even my own work colleagues drove around and around trying to follow my directions (Simply impossible to explain over the phone)
Theirs no train within sensible walking distance, no buses that I could find - so it was a taxi everywhere, and frankly I got ripped off left right and centre. (Particularly by the Taxi firm the hotel uses - a better suggestion is to wait for a taxi to drop someone off and take this)
The hotel itself is grubby, old, the rooms small, the wireless intermittent but frankly, with the Food show "SIAL" on at the time, it was this for 300 euros (4 nights) or 1000 euros for an IBIS!
The staff I found nice, particularly one guy that worked on the weekends, who really tried very hard to please.
Breakfast was laughable, but 7 euros is hardly going to deliver a gourmet meal.
I wont be staying there again, but I'm not going to completely slag them off - there was simply nothing else available at the time.
Just dont expect too much, and you'll be OK with it.
