What People are saying

Very nice hotel

Damian Ton 15/06/2017 23:30

Stayed here on a couple of occasions now and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, bed enormous and the food was tasty, though the menu itself was fairly standard. Also you can drive to Lossiemouth just up the road for a stroll around the harbour.

We were part of a group of golfers

No ground floor rooms and no lift . Staff are friendly and welcoming but reception personnel don't always have local information .
Room was fine although duvets were heavy and hot. I would take my own pillow next time!
General decor a bit tired . Bus parties were staying every night we were there and staff worked very hard to look after everyone.
Pleasant outside area with lawns and seating where we enjoyed the sunshine!

Relaxing break

Had a great 3 day break here, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was also very good.. Bed were very comfortable.. The massage was very beneficial and not just a body brush. Will definitely go back again. Best break for a while.

Very Friendly staff

Stayed here for three days and was more than pleasantly surprised at the service and extra attention. The rooms are basic but comfortable with nice views onto the lawn. Nearby traffic was not intrusive and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of parking outside and a good welcome to greet us. Food was again a very nice surprise with enough vegetarian choice and a chef that could adapt for vegans and also come up with new dishes for us, much appreciated.
The hotel is dog friendly which is always a plus but not one we took advantage of on this visit. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of fresh fruit and enough cooked choice even for vegetarians. The walls are a bit on the thin side but we slept fine as all guests at the time were considerate but I imagine it could pose a problem if you got late night revellers.
The price was competative and far cheaper than local alternatives. The hotel has a leisure complex with a nice large pool. We will stay again.

Poor quality

I would strongly advise anyone not to stay in room 39 if you want a decent nights sleep. The noise from the reception door and staff talking rather loud right up until 00:35 as they were coming upstairs and going in to the cupboard next to our room means no sleep, added to that a bed of concrete which was very bumpy and the most uncomfortable pillows I've ever slept on. The toilet didn't flush, shower is terrible and reminds me of something my parents had in the 80's....either runs too hot or too cold. The room it's self was dirty with strange splash marks next to and behind the headboard. They might want to look at their fire safety regulations with broken tiles on the ceiling and pat testing 9 months out of date!!! Not only this but we booked for ourselves and two children who albeit older, they were put in a room at the other end of the hotel. Their room wasn't much cleaner however at least they had a working toilet and weren't right next to the door to reception. we now have a 10 hour journey to do with no sleep! I will be recommending all my friends avoid this hotel, this hotel reminds me of a German hostel. One positive was the staff in the leisure area were very friendly and the facilities although dated were very good.
