Great modern 4star hotel close to the centre of Saint Gallen.

Lobby area is covered in gold and decorated with some interesting art. Seems more like a business hotel.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Room 322 was huge with fridge/mini-bar, big flat-screen TV and safe. Bathroom great size with bathrobe and slippers.

No fan or air-con but because there was a thunderstorm that night the room had a pleasant temperature.

Breakfast is in another building across the road. Lots of different variety especially from juices and smoothies. Also scrambled eggs and bacon is provided.

Short walking distance to town, quiet area and perfect place to stay in Saint Gallen.

Amazing! Can't wait to go back.

I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and we spent two nights at Einstein. The atmosphere when checking in was fabulous and the front desk staff was superb. Eveline assisted us during checkin and she was great. The room was absolutely perfect. Large, roomy - a great view of the cathedral and heated floors in the bathroom! What a treat! The bed was probably top 5 best beds I've eve slept in. My wife and I could not get over how comfortable they were.

Now to the breakfast - don't even get me started on how amazing the breakfast is. The best food I had in Switzerland was the Einstein breakfast. They have these amazing veal sausages, fresh pastries, fresh jams and jellies - the coffee is amazing. It was perfect. I still fantasize about the breakfast. Seriously.

We ended up going to the Einstein bar each night. Sven was the bartender both nights, and let me tell you - this guy is a true mixologist. He mixed up a variety of drinks for me and my wife and every one was a work of art. For whiskey drinkers, I highly suggest the merlot finished Santis Malt, which is a locally distilled whiskey. It was so good I bought two bottles from the wine shop. My wife asked for something sweet and creamy and Sven mixed up his variation of a White Russian, and it was perfection. He does weekly custom cocktails that are worth checking out.

You can't go wrong by staying here, we cannot wait to visit again!

great hotel with cool rooms in a heatwave

This hotel was booked for us as part of a bike ride from Chur to Basel - it was great (even though we must surely have been the scruffiest clients in the hotel). The bell boy ?Arun was so helpful with our bikes and getting a fan for our room - he is a credit to the hotel.

We loved our stay in the hotel and in this town.

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts provided extensive breakfast offerings.

Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable.

The town is beautiful with friendly people and a great variety of shopping and restaurant choices.

Recent Stay at the Einstein St.Gallen Hotel

My wife and I recently stayed at the Einstein St Gallen Hotel for about a week whilst my wife was attending a course at the Hotel Congress Centre. The Hotel is fairly close (walking distance) to the main train station in St Gallen. If you are walking from the station and have heavy luggage that let's say is not convenient to carry, take a taxi if you can as the hotel is on a steep incline.

The staff at the Hotel are pleasant, professional and very helpful. The following staff were known to my wife and I due to their kind and attentive support during our stay.

- Jazy and Andrea at the front desk/reception - professional and supportive with a natural aptitude for customer service.
- Celia at room service was always polite, smiling and professional and could not do enough and is an asset.
- Nora at the Hotel bar (where we had our first day complimentary drink) and some snacks cheerful and friendly.
- Andrin at the restaurant was always attentive and professional.
Hanna at the breakfast was always there with a smile to greet us at breakfast and attentive and professional.
Sina (unsure of name spelling) at the restaurant/bistro was also very friendly and attentive.

There were a host of other staff across the hotel and we had a pleasant stay and they are the reasons that we would consider staying at the Einstein St Gallen Hotel on our return.

Very clean and functional room, bathroom and storage for clothes. Cafe's, restaurants and the town centre are very close to the hotel (walking distance - about 5-10mins max).

The Hotel stay included the use of the fully stocked gym, swimming pool and sauna next door (which was accessed from outside or via underground corridor from our hotel)

Lovely city overall with a large cathedral/church in the town which you will not miss.

Negative points overall were few if any and these include; it is a fairly expensive place overall.
Dinner for two (even at the local American Steakhouse-type restaurant) would be circa 80-90CHF and that is without any alcohol.
The town/city pretty much shuts down around 6pm and the weekend (especially Sunday) is dead.

We did not get a chance to go on any excursions including the cable car however, this was not the reason we went. All in all and if you are going for a holiday/break etc, we recommend it.
