Great place for business or pleasure! The perimeter area is the place to be. The mall is out of this world. And the surrounding restaurants, like Sage & many others. It's a good hangout for the family or just hanging with the girls or fellows.

Not up to Embassy Suites standards

We reserved this room in advance, part of the Hilton Honors Program. Unfortunately this was the worst Embassy we've ever come across. The decor was very outdated compared to the others ive stayed at, but worse than outdated decor was a horrible moldy/mildew smell in tbe rooms. It smelled terrible in the room, noticed it right away. The smell was throughout the room, strongest in the bedroom. In addition, the curtains were not fully attached to the curtain rod, were stained, and in the bedroom some type of stain was splattered behind the beds. There was also drywall patching that was halfway done with exposed screws and not finished patching. Perhaps water leak was behind the wall. Lampshades were crooked and not in good sjaoe, and stains on the carpet. We had arrived at 8:00pm after a long day of driving and this was anything but welcoming. I reported tbe issue to the front desk, who assigned another room. I checked it first, finding the same smell and disrepair in the room. I went back to the front desk and was given another room on their premier floor. The carpet on this floor was also stained, with the largest stain right outside our room. This room smelled worse than the other two, moldy but also a skunk like odor. Same disrepair in a premier room, just unbelievable. Went back to the front desk and cancelled our reservation. While the staff was nice and apologetic, I can't believe that the maintenance amd cleanliness of 3 different rooms is an exception. I'd guess the rest of the rooms are the same since we looked at 3 different floors. This is not what I've come to expect from an Embassy Suites. I would never stay here again, and certainly wouldn't recommend. I have never posted a comment before, but just felt strongly that this is so unacceptable and management should be alerted.

Hotel Poor for the Location

Hotel was in a great location but the pool was nasty and housekeeping did a poor job cleaning the room. The hotel did seem prepared for the amount of guest they had this weekend. Hotel should indorm guest when the are expecting family reunion parties.

We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff was so awesome. It was very busy and the staff handled the service like professionals. The only problem was that one of the elevators was out of service. I will defiantly stay there again.

Broken shower, etc

I am a Diamond level Hilton Honors member and stay at many different Hilton family hotels every year. This Embassy Suites was the worst Hilton family hotel I've ever visited (over more than 20 years). The shower in my room was broken and wouldn't work. The LCD display on the room safe wasn't working properly. Even the plastic lids for the coffee cups were too small for the cups! Every time I turned around, I found that something in my room either didn't work at all or was barely functioning. There are many other choices of hotels in the Dunwoody area; I recommend that you find another option than this Embassy Suites.
