just ok Hotel

situated in the center of Celje
very good and friendly staff at the reception
rooms are not charming and outdated, would need some full renovation
was sleeping on the other side of the reception/entrance - rooms are not sound proof, woke up by the noice of the delivery trucks in the morning, culd also hear the neighbour in his room
very poor wifi
breakfast is ok
we had lunch in restaurant which was excellent
I would not really recomment but cannot compare with other hotels

Overall average hotel. Room was medium to small sized and not very clean, view to the roof.
Staff is polite, location is good, not too far from city center.
As it's not pricey, the hotel has overall decent value.

Business trip in Celje

I was on business trip in Celje. I was one night in this hotel and I visited restaurant in this hotel.
I tried local beer and costs 2,3 Euros, but I didnt try meal.
I was in room n. 301 and room was clean,with batch and toilet and TV. Wifi is free, but I didnt try wifi, because I didnt have time. Furniture is old. Breakfast was small, because cost of breakfast is only 2 Euros [missing scrambled eggs]- I saw only 2 types of cheese, 3 types of salami, 2 types of bread,coffee,tea].

If you want to visit the pool, you must pay entry, because pool is not from the hotel.

Position of this hotel is good if you want to visit city. Staff speak english. For one nigth is this hotel acceptable.

Bit Disappointing

After staying in some nice hostels and small hotels in Slovenia, the Faraon Hotel & Casino was pretty disappointing and not great value for money.

Advertised pool is actually the city public pool, not what you imagine when you book.

Our room was very dated, run down and overfilled with strange furniture (from the owners house?). No aircon or fan meant it was stifling in the hot weather.

Location is ok, walk to town is quite long but pleasant along river.

Young staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English.
