Good value for money
Khalid Eon 31/05/2017 15:58I stayed at the Ferahi Efker Butik Hotel from 28th of May to 30 of May 2017. The hotel is a very small one in a very nice location (directly overlooking the sea). However I was not impressed! Rooms are not cozy or comfortable and bath room are very small and not very well supplied. ( soap, shampoo, shower gel ) are all of an inferior quality. Staff are mostly not speaking any language other than Turkish which is an issue.
Over all considering the daily rates of the hotel I think it is a fair value and if you are there just for a night sleep for a day or two it may work.
Relaxing stay and friendly staff; good location by the sea.
Julie Bon 17/05/2016 22:37Lovely small hotel right on the water front. Nice sun room to have breakfast and drinks in during the day. Clean room with a very comfortable bed. Good value. We had a side room with partial views. There was one room which directly overlooked the sea and that would have been nice to stay in. Take mosquito spray for the evenings if you are walking along the waterfront.
Right by the sea
ChrisRushon 16/05/2016 20:43An excellent, friendly hotel, right by the sea. There's nothing more relaxing than having breakfast watching the small boats go by and looking out to some small inhabited islands. The breakfast's not bad either!
A wonderful find
Dan Won 25/04/2016 21:33My partner & I rolled in to Ayvalik to catch a ferry, & with no accommodation booked, we found ourselves at Ferahi Evler.
What a great little discovery. The price was very reasonable, & the room itself was lovely, clean & tidy, with a good fit out. The bathroom is small, but modern & functional.
Our 'non sea view' room had a lovely view of the water from the side window.
The couple that run the hotel are extremely charming & obviously love their business.
Their english is limited so if your Turkish is not conversational, have a back up plan (an app on our phone took us past the 'hello, one room please, thank you' stage).
They were also happy to recommend restaurants (in Turkish).
Breakfast in the morning was a lovely spread of what appears to be a standard Turkish breakfast, but presented nicely.
As Ayvalik wasn't a particularly attractive town I doubt we'll be back, but this hotel was a lovely refuge.
Overpriced, poor service, good location for ferries
BA_Minervaon 22/07/2015 22:33We are surprised at the good reviews this hotel is receiving, as we found it to be overpriced and with poor service. Its only redeeming quality is that it is very close to the ferries.
When we arrived, we were met by a surly 20-something, who did not want to answer questions and made it clear he was at the end of his shift and wanted to leave. The room was very plain, small and cramped for the price charged. The safe provided was so small that it barely fit more than a few wallets, and there was no amenities such as tea or coffee as one would expect from a boutique hotel in this price range.
The breakfast offers a wonderful view of the sea, but which is countered by the poor selection of the food. There was no hot foods or cereals, with the exception of some warm doughnuts brought halfway through the meal.
The check-out service was similarly surly and cold. We were happy to leave.
Tip: The address is somewhat confusing, and can make the hotel hard to find. It is listed as 20 Ataturk Blvd, whereas it is surrounded by addresses in the 200-range.
