The Sonnenhof is a family-run hotel with top class infrastructure and amenties. Very friendly and competent staff make you feel at home.
After a day on the slopes you can relax in the sauna area or play with the kids in the pool.
Great food and family friendly atmosphere. We go back every winter to enjoy this great hotel.

Hotel with everything in region with everything

The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor pools, a good fitness center, bikes, good food, and a nice staff. Zillertal is an amazing place: a beautiful alpine valley surrounded by big mountains. There is amazing hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canyoning, and even a nice family friendly river rafting trip, all within minutes of the hotel. The lift up the mountain is just a few minutes walk and is open summer and winter.

So much fun!

Lovely hotel, lovely food, lovely scenery. Our room had a small balcony that allowed us to stayed out talking and contemplating the stars at night. The linens were very soft! Bed was comfy and soft. The hotel has an astonishing pool, with the wow factor. If you like heat, pay a visit to the sauna, it is one of the bests I have ever visited. We did a lot of trekking, there is much to see and to do in the area. It was a very relaxing week, active but relaxing nevertheless.

We had a wonderful stay during our skiing holiday with our two small kids. We stayed in a Family room, which had two bedrooms (one with bunkbed) and a small living room with a big comfortable couch. The room had enough cabinets to store all your luggage comfortably. Everything was very clean!

Breakfast and dinner were served in a nicely decorated dining hall, where you had your own table for the whole week. Easy, because the kids knew exactly where to go to every day! The food was very nice, a big variety during breakfast and in the evening again a lot of choice, and the quality was high. Dinner could be served very quickly if preferred. We liked this because dinner started a little bit too late for our kids, 6.30 PM. But because it could be served quickly, they could still have a reasonable bed time.
The hotel is very child friendly with a play area inside and outside, and different facilities such as baby monitors, baby seats and even back carriers if you'd want to take your baby for a walk in the mountains.

The spa facilities were very, very good. Three saunas and two hammams, and again everything exceptionally clean. Outdoor pool was very nice, especially after visiting the family sauna which was located next to it (the family sauna by the way, had a beautiful view of the meadow and the mountains). There were separate towels for the pool and for the sauna.

Staff was super nice and could arrange your skipass for you without any charge. The hotel was also visited by different skischools so you could arrange your lessons from the comfortable seat of the hotel. It's very nice if you have just driven 10 hours, and you can make your ski arrangements so easily.

This was a holiday that exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return!

Hotel is friendly, cosy, home from home atmosphere, with great food, lovely rooms with balconies which is a first for me on a skiing trip, and also the facilities were great including a lovely pool and spa extras. I had a massage and this was so nice! Hotel is overall highly recommended.
