Ferradura Private Hotel, Room 204
Ijunioron 29/01/2017 21:27Be sure to book a room at this hotel. Although not the first time I stayed at this hotel I was shocked at the inconveniences I found in room 204. When I entered and tried to use the phone I noticed that the wire was broken. The tv remote did not work. The tub did not fill and then it began to leak the water through the room. I booked this hotel on expedia.com. I guess, Is this room never booked by anyone before me? I complained at the reception that was next to the room. In other reservations I made directly with the hotel reservation center I had no problems. Is it a privilege for using expedia.com ?
Great hotel in breathtaking location
Andrew Con 26/08/2016 12:08We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were impressed with the service from the breakfast staff ( Anna and Emerson) and from the reception manager. The hotel is small and in a quiet area of a beautiful bay at Ferradura. Although the hotlhasjust 15 rooms, the facilities and the space are wonderful. The outside decking and pools overlook the bay (literally). Breakfast was the best we had in Brazil in our three week trip, but what stood out was the exceptional service and warm welcome from Anna and Emerson.
Perfect!
luisafalcaowon 07/06/2016 22:43The hotel is beautiful, with confortable rooms with large beds, jacuzzi and an unbelievable ocean view. The staff is very well trained; great breakfast with a large variety of breads, cheese and pastries; excellent swimming pool. Impeccable!
Amazing hospitality
reanodevittoon 27/01/2016 13:05The hotel is a bit away from the busy downtown, enough for having a private feeling. The staff was amazing and friendly. I believe the concierge service has space for improvements: I haven’t been to Buzios before and expected more tips on the best options for food and fun, but this was a minor disappointment. I would definitely consider this hotel when getting back to Buzios.
Superior Hotel in Buzios
Ninerdon 30/11/2015 20:38My husband and I traveled to Buzios based on Brazilian friend's recommendation after my business meeting in Rio. I picked Hotel Private based on reviews. We prefer Intercontinental Hotels while traveling but there are no global chains in Buzios, however, we could not have been happier with our choice at Hotel Private.
Pros:
-Excellent and professional staff. Ms. Clarissa is a gracious and attentive hotel manager. Classy treatment of guests. The bell boy, the front desk, the breakfast and pool staff are constantly welcoming and friendly, and ready to help with all needs, including calling taxis or making reservations. Good breakfast service. They will make you an omelette if you ask them.
-Location: Out of the main downtown area, feels remote, breathtaking views and 20-30 minute walk to downtown. We took taxis after dark. About $6 or 20 reals each way. This is a hotel if you want an exclusive feel away from the busy areas.
-Rooms: View balconies, large flat screen TV, spotlessly cleaned. Not modern, but very comfortable. All rooms have balconies and water views. Our room was 206. 205-207 seem to have the best views and do not overlook the pool.
-Amenities: No beach here, but access to kayaks. Beach is 5 minute walk down the hill or by car to other beaches. Pool is great for lounging and poolside service is attentive.
-Hotel helped to arrange for a car to drive us from and back to Rio.
Cons:
-Water pressure in shower is very low
Practical advice:
-Foreign travelers need an ATM with a smart chip. If you don't have one, use the Bank of Basil ATM just near downtown.
-Beach chairs on the far end of Ferradura Beach are less noisy. 30 reals spending minimum.
-Buggy rentals are about $50 a day and you can see all of the beaches in one day. About 2.5 gallons of gas is all you need. The hotel arranged for pick up when we inquired about renting.
We stayed for 7 lovely days and look forward to coming back someday.
