Bad goodwill

Yesterday was our 4 yrs weddingday and the second time we book the same hotel.
First Hotel 27. At Longangssträde 27 in Copenhagen.
We were here 2015 the first time. Good location for most things in Copenhagen within walking distance.
But this year we find out that goodwill is something this hotel personel dont know a thing about!
I booked the room by phone and with a garage space, and when we arrived the hotel, we left the car outside on the parking area at the street to check in and get the from the girl at the reception a recommendation that we might as well could stand there with the car.
But she forgot to tell us that the parking place on the street , didnt´ belonged to the hotel.
So we received the recommendation from the girl at the reception, and in the morning we see the parking ticket.
We point out to the front desk that we were recommended to park there, but they just smiled and told us that we could blame ourselves, that's the street of the municipality, they say .... We waited for them to apologize and take care of the parking lot.
But no, the swedish clerk and his collegues, they only smiled at us. And when we checked out they were kind enough to remove the garage parking costs I had booked. Woaw… Good thinking there.. Shame on You!
I live in hotel ca a month/year at different places and have never been treated like this.
510 DKR in a parking ticket. Thank You very much!
Great location and good place
SwingSinghon 13/08/2017 18:26This is my second visit to the same hotel after a gap of 3 years and the experience was good. The biggest plus for this hotel is its location. Close to the Central Station and the CBD.
Breakfast is typically not included in the room tariff which was a little surprising. Most hotel usually have breakfast included in the room rate. Also the breakfast can be improved for vegetarians and vegans. Not much choice for those people.
All in all a good place to stay.
Standard hotel in Nordics with good location
96jyrinon 11/08/2017 13:35I stayed at the hotel for one night.
The location is excellent in the city center, staff at the reception were friendly and efficient.
The room was quite basic, in ok condition. Traffic and church bell's caused some noice, but it shouldn't bother sleeping. Room didn't seem to have any type of air-condition, but it was possible to keep window open.
No minibar, but complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Breakfast buffet was very Nordic standard, so nothing special, but worked.
There is free wifi available, not the fastest, but good enough for surfing online.
Good Stay
Boundarylesson 11/08/2017 04:00I stayed here a week for business. I wanted to stay near the old part of the city and this was in my price range. It has it's own personality and feels more like a boutique than chain hotel. Staff is helpful and "cool." Colors are not mainstream but a bit Baroque. My room was fine. Service and help was all good. Very close to bars, clubs and restaurants. I recommend staying here.
It all adds up
twbakkeon 10/08/2017 14:08Earlier, I have held a little back as I thought the price was a little steep compared to rather small rooms, too few and too slow elevators and a general somewhat run-down feel.
But as the price now compares favourably to most hotels in the center of Copenhegen, let's focus on the positive: Service and room service is terrific. Flexible and friendly, very nice staff. The rooms are small, but they function well and are kept clean and appealing. I did not eat in the hotel this time, but it has usually been good.
The bar, however. Now, this is probably one of the best drinking establishments in Europe. Cocktails are nothing short of perfect, whether it is bar specials (recommended) or classics (sometimes you just need one). The selection of spirits is breathtaking, built up with umost care over many, many years and carefully maintained. I'm happy to say that I've been a rare, but happy guest for more than 10 years now. In additon to just about anything you can dream of in spirits, a more than sufficient selection of wine and champagne and cava. Some nice beers, too, but I didn't really delve into that. The bar staff are beyond friendly, very personable and amiable, with that lovely Danish touch. Some locals enjoy the bar as well, so it is rarely empty, but also rarely crowded as it is airy and spacy and well-staffed. Only problem that if you're on holiday, you might spend more time in the hotel than planned.
