Central location
Raj Fon 30/08/2017 21:30We wanted a hotel that was close to the city and all the sights in Frankfurt and this was a good hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was good. It was unusual inasmuch as it had a glass shower in the middle of the room. So if you wanted to watch your partner shower then this is perfect for you.
It also had the old style constant lifts that you could jump on and off of.
The breakfast was included in the price and it was a very good selection. With food for every taste including vegan. The restaurant was nicely arranged and the staff were there to help.
we stayed a couple of days and would like to return to the hotel next time we are in Frankfurt.

Rooms are quiet and bed super comfy.
Complimentary wifi is great and breakfast buffet is good.

Lars Jon 02/08/2017 20:58We stayed on two occasions in this hotel in the past year and both times were memorable visits.
The hotel is in a former office building and many of the original architectural features have nicely been retained and integrated in the overall concept such as the paternoster (which is fun to ride!) and the central staircase. The big plus is the rooftop bar and restaurant, both with terrace offering stunning views of the Frankfurt skyline. The location of the hotel is perfect. The central shopping streets (Zeil, Schillerstraße, Fressgass’) and plenty of restaurants/bars are a convenient walk away. A pleasant walk through the park (the park is the remains of the former city ramparts) in one direction takes you to Alte Oper, in the other direction to the Zoo. And if you need public transport there is a U-Bahn station entrance just in front of the door.
We slept great both times, since all the rooms are sound proof. I must say, the soundproofing is slightly better in the new building, where we stayed the first time. The room that time was not exposed to the street. This time we had a room in the old building, which had a nice view of the park and skyline. Although the room was very quiet, there was slight noise coming through the closed windows from the traffic from the street in front. Both rooms were very modern and a bit quirky with exposed showers (fine for couples or travelling alone). The beds were very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was great in very modern setting. There was a variety of choice, including plenty of fresh fruits. They also have items that you can specially order, such as custom omelettes or French toast. On this visit it was relaxing to have prolonged breakfasts, while reading the newspaper and enjoying the views of the activities on the street outside.
This hotel is my preferred place to stay in Frankfurt for business and pleasure.
Would not deliver room service unless paid for in cash
Tim Jon 02/08/2017 06:44Even though they had CC on file they refused to deliver any food or drink unless it was paid for in cash leaving several guests (including myself) going hungry. Absolutely not what you expect from a supposed top hotel.
