A real delight

What a wonderful stay my boyfriend and I had over what was a cold and wet Winter's weekend in the Cape. From the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming, with all our requests being met in the swiftest manner. We stayed in a luxury upstairs room which had great space, beautiful decor, great amenities and a nice view out towards the pools. Breakfasts were fresh and tasty with a nice selection of cooked options on the menu while Monneaux restaurant offered a delicious Winter 3 course wine pairing menu that didn't disappoint. We ate salmon sashimi, prawn and chicken curry, springbok steak, crumbed brie and baked custard - all decent portions, tasty and beautifully presented on the plate. The complimentary sherry in the communal lounge area, complimentary drinks between 2-5pm every day, umbrellas throughout in case of temperamental weather and the free shuttle service to restaurants in town were really great value-ads and the turn down service with chocolates on the pillows and hot water bottles in the bed were equally enjoyed. The villas themselves are very pretty with bowls of lemons scattered around the grounds creating a very French atmosphere. All in all a really enjoyable experience, I would highly recommend to others.

Honeymoon stay

This was an amazing place to go to for our honeymoon. I would suggest this place regardless of a honeymoon....girls weekend, romantic getaway, etc. The costumer service was excellent. We ate at the restaurant in the Villa twice cause it was so good. Turn down service is wonderful. And need I say more about how beautiful the grounds are. I wouldn't mind going back here any day!

Weekend away

What a lovely weekend being spoiled by the manager and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms with ample space. Luxury linen and towels with high standard amenities. Underfloor heating and fire place to keep out the chills. Amazing breakfast and although we could not dine in arrangements were made to have dinner in town.

we had a lovely stay at the hotel ! the view of the surrounings are beautiful; location is quiet and a walk away from the center
staff was very friendly, they spoiled us with a lovely surprise for our 25th anniversary !
the Monneaux restaurant excellent and service even better
breakfast was delicious !
We recommend the hotel !

We live in Cape Town so not too far for us to travel, we were in Franschhoek for the annual Bastille Day festival weekend and taking part in the Bastille Day Trail run. First visit to this hotel and it's now our favourite and we can't wait to return. From the moment we arrived ( cold and wet straight from the race ) the staff were fantastic, polite,happy and thoroughly professional. This was ALL the staff we met from the reception, room maid, porters, restaurant staff and management. Lunch in the main restaurant was very good and breakfast again was perfect. We were in a Villa suite which was well designed, very roomy, nice fireplace and a big bathroom. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough and we can't wait to return. My wife also used the Spa which she said was very good as well as being reasonably priced.
