Best place in the black forest

We have been comming again and again ever since we came by luck the first time.
Food, seasonal treats, the attention of Kurt and Georgia, has allways given us a reason to go back. Any choice on the menu will be a great choice.
Season meals are also a great experience.
If you doubt just come and enjoy

The rooms were perfect and the food excellent,with the chef making creating some lovely fresh food for our vegetarian co-travelers.
I would go out my way visit again.
Everything about Freiamter Hof was perfect
Weloveskyeon 21/10/2013 21:17I cannot recommend this guesthouse too highly. My wife and I, 13 year old daughter and 21 year old daughter and her partner stayed here during August from a Monday through to the Saturday. Europa Park had been the draw, but we decided we'd like to stay somewhere about 30 minutes drive away, which had not suffered "tourist fatigue". Freiamter Hof was the perfect place to have chosen. Our hosts Georgi and Kurt could not have made us more welcome. The rooms were comfortable and homely, the buffet breakfast (with boiled eggs if you liked) was delicious and the evening meals were of incredible quality and value. We ate at the restaurant every evening, which was very unusual for us, the a la carte menu had such variety - we wondered how on earth they could produce such marvellous, varied cooking! The beer was good too. One evening we sat outside at the front as it was warm enough; the location was idyllic, atmospheric and idyllic. We were made to feel very much part of the family, indeed on our 26th anniversary we were presented with a home made cake - Black Forest Gateaux of course... We were very sorry to leave on the Saturday, but we have vowed to return next year. We arrived at Offenburg by train and hired a car so it was a very easy journey; sat nav is useful when using the forest roads! Freiamter Hof is ideal for a secluded getaway, as a base for exploring the region (Freiburg, Basel etc) or for just chilling. Oh yes, almost forgot, at the back just down the lane is a mill, with its own bakery - and this is where the breakfast rolls come from.... I highly recommend you stay at this hidden gem.
Nice room and great food
LarssonDKon 14/08/2010 18:42We found out very late that we would like going to the Europa-Park. All very nearby hotels and guesthouses was fully booked so we changed the perimeter for our search. Happy that we did. The couple servicing the place were very friendly and we felt us very welcome in their house.
Since we only used it as a base for the visit to the amusement park we didn't really have a closer look at the nearby area. But the view into the surrounding fields, stream and forest from the room was very nice. I would imagine that using this as a base for hiking in the Black Forrest (Schwarzwald) would be great.
We used the restaurant all days during our stay, and the food was very well prepared. If you are not staying we would recommend the restaurant on it's own.
