Unplanned stay
Julian Lon 11/02/2017 15:07Was not supposed to stay at this hotel but was shocked that China has a rule whereby not all hotels are available to foreign guests. Called CTRIP up and they promptly refunded my booking. Stayed at this hotel thanks to a recommendation by the receptionist at the hotel I was originally supposed to stay at. Hotel room was a bit aged but clean. Location is strategic at it is close to the West Lake and other shopping areas. There is a Family Mart (convenience store) close to the hotel. However, the air conditioning was not good and we had a rather summer-like sleep on December. Still, got a good price for the stay and was overall satisfied.
Smelly rooms, good breakfast
POEC Pon 06/01/2017 13:12I have no complains except our room smells like drainage. We need to close the bathroom or the whole room will be xontaminated witht smell.
We like the breakfast, good choices and beautiful view. Some staff speaks some English. Walking distance to shopping area and metro train.
Reataurant in the ground floor is good as well.

Rooms were a little pricey and but okay. A bit of cigarette smell in a non- smoking room.
Why would such a hotel not include an email address in their contact details and they know the whole language barrier issue!???
Breakfast with the Lake as scenery
Edwin53on 21/07/2016 09:14Very good hotel, clean rooms and friendly English speaking staff.Diner very wide range of foods , Western and Eastern .And a vieuw on the Lake in the turning restaurant.
Come back again for sure .Closeto the Lake , about 5 minutes walk.
Good Choice for Stopover in Hangzhou
majo-travelleron 23/06/2016 16:36The hotel is located very central in Hangzhou: Just 3-5min walk of the metro station and you can reach the West Lake in 5-10min, the Hefang Street in 15-20min by foot.
Only thing to criticize during our stay: The inside door knob of our bathroom was broken (so if you closed the door you were trapped inside the bathroom). We pointed that out 3 times during our stay but nothing happened.
Beside that the rooms were clean and just a little worn-out.
All in all a good and central choice in Hangzhou!
